1. GATE

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the way for you to get into IIT and IISc for your PG courses like ME, MTech, and Ph.D.This exam is jointly conducted by IISc and 7 IITs of India.

There are 25 different subjects for which GATE is conducted. The exam duration is 3 hours. And the most important thing is that your GATE is valid for 3 years.

The eligibility for this exam is a four-year bachelor's degree in engineering.

2. JEE

The Joint Entrance Examination, which is commonly known as JEE. The exam is conducted for the students who are inspired to do engineering and to get admission to top engineering colleges of India.

It consists of two different examinations -JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

So here is the answer to your query - JEE Main is conducted to provide you admission into BE or B. Tech courses in various NITs & other Institutions in India and you're eligible to give in three consecutive years of 12 boards.

3. CUCET

Central University Common Entrance Exam is a national-level entrance exam that is organized by 14 universities across the country. This entrance will provide you admission into UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses.

There are different eligibility for the different courses for UG courses candidates must have 50% in 12th. For the PG courses, one must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% and it goes almost the same for the Ph.D. courses too but only the same percentage-wise. 

So for a Ph.D. course, you must have 55% in your master's degree.

4. WBJEE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is a state-level entrance exam by WBJEEB. This entrance provides candidate admission into BTech and BPharm courses. You must have 45% in PCM and 30% in English.

You must be wondering what's the difference between JEE and WBJEE?

WBJEE will provide you admission to any institution in West Bengal only. While JEE will provide admission in any institution across the country.

5. CMAT

CMAT is the popular exam on the list of all exams in India for MBA aspirants.

Common Management Admission Test is an entrance exam for MBA and PGDM courses conducted by the National Testing Agency.

The CMAT question paper consists of 100 questions from Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness with a time duration of 3 hours. 

There's a new section which is optional consisting of Innovation and Entrepreneurship that carries 25 questions with a duration of 30 minutes.

6. COMEDK

COMEDK UGET is an entrance exam conducted at the state level by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

This entrance exam will provide you a seat in BTech and BArch courses. But note that for Batch courses you have to first appear for NATA ( National Aptitude Test in Architecture).

For the eligibility to give the entrance exam for BTech one must have an aggregate percentage of 45 in PCM. 

While for the BArch course one must aggregate 50% in PCM as well as 80/200 score in NATA.

7. MCA Entrance

Then this course is for you.

Master in Computer Applications is a course that can fulfill your dream of being in the IT industry.

The eligibility to give MCA entrance is to either have Mathematics or Statistics in 12+ and BCA degree from a recognized institution.

Some of the top MCA entrance exams are AIMCET, BHUPET MCA, JECA, JNU MCA, MAH MCA CET, PAMCAT NIMCET, and many more.

MCA on the list of all exams in India is a must for BCA graduates in order to pursue post-graduation.

8. BITSAT

BITSAT is an entrance exam that provides admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BE), BPharm, and MSc programs in one of the campuses of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) located at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. 

The exam happens once a year with a time duration of 3 hours consisting of 150 questions. Note that you have a 75% aggregate in PCM to apply for this exam.

9. IIT JAM

Joint Admission Test for MSC (JAM) is an online-based entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate while 50% for SC/ST/PWD category candidates.

If you're worried about the times you can apply for JAM, then you don't have to because in this entrance you can apply as many times as you want to until you fulfill the criteria.

10. VITEEE

VITEEE or Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is a national level exam conducted by VIT University, Vellore every year to provide admission for B. Tech course in their institution.

The B.Tech course consists of Aerospace Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and many more.

You must have 60% aggregate in PCM class 12 from a recognized institution.

11. XAT

Next on the list of all exams in India is XAT.

Xavier Aptitude Test(XAT) is a national-level management entrance examination for getting admission in top colleges providing MBA/PGDM courses. This exam is conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur.

XAT is conducted once a year with a 3 hours exam with 100 MCQ. Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of course or those candidates who are in the final years of their degree.

There are 72 cities that are exam centers for XAT and candidates are requested to choose two cities convenient for them to give the examination.

12. KEAM

Kerala Engineering, Agricultural, and Medical Entrance Exam is state level entrance exam which is conducted by the Commission of Entrance Exam (CEE) which provided admission in various courses like Engineering, Architecture, MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeo, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary, and Fisheries.

Admission to the candidates is provided based on both 12th marks as well as KEAM rank. The exam takes place once a year and in offline mode with a duration of 150 minutes.

13. OJEE

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination is a computer-based entrance examination conducted by OJEE Committee which is formed by the Odisha State Government. 

OJEE offers admissions for B.Pharm / MBA / MCA / M.Tech / M.Tech (Part-Time) / M.Arch / M Plan / M.Pharm / Int. MBA / B.Tech / B.Pharm courses in both government and private universities and colleges of Odisha. 

Eligibility for Undergraduate course is 45% in 12th board while for Postgraduate course 50% in their respective degrees. Other states can apply but they can't get admission to government colleges.

14. AEEE

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham a national-level Engineering Entrance Examination that provides a 4-year B.Tech course.

It takes place once a year with a 90 minutes exam which has three phases in it.

Candidates have made a total of 60% aggregate in 12th board and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 55% in each.

15. Combined Medical Services Examination

CMSE is another important exam on the list of all exams in India.

Completed your graduation and want to join Central Government organizations or services?

Then Combined Medical Service Examination or also known as CMSE is full use for you. This exam is conducted by UPSC.

This entrance exam recruits for various posts which involves:

  • Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.
  • Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Services.
  • Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.
  • General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council.
  • General Duty Medical Gr.-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

The CMSE consists of two papers each with 250 marks with a duration of 2 hours for each one. The eligibility for this entrance is an MBBS degree and you can also apply for it if you are in your final year.

16. Engineering Services Examination

Completed your Engineering and want a job that too in that sector then ESE will help you get that.

Engineering Services Examination or ESE or IES is an exam conducted for recruiting Engineer for various categories like-

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

The selection process is based on Preliminary which is an objective type of paper consisting of 500 marks with a duration of 5 hours, 

Main Exam which is a conventional type paper consists of 600 marks with a duration of 6 hours, and finally an Interview.

17. CEED

Philosophers prefer CEED from the list of all exams in India.

Common Entrance Exam for Design which is conducted by IIT BOMBAY which provides you admission into MDes and Ph.D. courses.

18. PGCET

The time duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be in objective form with a total score of 100 marks.

19. CUSAT CAT

Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test or CUSAT CAT is a state-level entrance exam that provides you admission into UG and PG courses across the state of Kerala.

The eligibility for this exam is 60% in PCM while 50% in English.

20. EAMCET

You're correct, it's the same exam. Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test or AP EAMCET is renamed and now known as Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test or AP EAPCET.

It is a state-level entrance exam that will provide you admission into Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The exam is a computer-based test of 3 hours with a total of 160 questions. The medium of the paper will be in 2 languages English, Urdu, and Telugu.

21. TANCET

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET is a common entrance exam conducted to provide you PG admissions in Tamil Nadu State.

The various PG courses which this entrance provides are MTech/ MArch/ MPlan/ ME/MBA and MCA.

The exam is an offline based exam of 2 hours with 100 questions objective based which covers various topics like Business Analysis, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency, and General English. The medium of the paper is in English and Tamil

22. DU JAT

DU JAT or Delhi University Joint Admission Test is a national level entrance exam conducted to provide you admission in BA, BBA, BMS programs.

This entrance happens once a year in online mode. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.

There are 100 objective questions on Quantitative Ability, Reasoning, and Analytical Ability, General English, Business, and General Awareness.

The eligibility for this exam is

General category: 60% aggregate

SC, ST, CW, and PwD: 55% aggregate

OBC: 54% aggregate

23. LPUNEST

Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) is a university-based exam which is conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU).

It provides you admission to the university and offers various courses which are available in the university like Engineering, Law, Agriculture, Design, Hotel Management, and MBA.

LPUNEST is an entrance exam as well as a scholarship exam. The exam duration is 2hours and 30 minutes and it is conducted twice a year.

Eligibility 60% in PCM as well as in English. The university also provides 5% relaxation for you if you're from the North-East state and 10% relaxation if you have achievement in sports.

24. TISSNET

Next on the list of all exams in India is TISSNET.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET) which is conducted by TISS, Mumbai is a national-level entrance exam.

The courses this entrance exam offers are MBA/PGDM, MA in Education, MA, MA-MSc, MHA, MPH, MPH-HPEF, MPHSELL, MMA in Social Work, MLIS.

The exam is conducted once a year with 100 minutes duration with 100 MCQ.

If you wish to apply for the entrance exam then either you should be in your final year of your bachelor's degree or should hold your bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.

25. Indian Economic Service Examination

Are you holding a degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics and looking for a government job?

IES takes place once a year an offline base exam that goes for 3 days.

If you don't clear this exam on the first attempt then don't worry because IES gives you 6 attempts to clear this exam.

The job which is provided is of Junior Scale. From the total vacancy, one seat is always served for a person with Benchmark Disability in Low Vision or Blindness.

26. Indian Statistical Service Examination

Are you wondering whether ISS is a similar kind of exam as IES?

Then you're correct, it's a similar exam like IES.

But the change comes in your Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics.

The exam goes on for 3 days with an offline base pen and paper exam. The number of attempts in this exam is also 6 attempts.

There is also one seat reserved for the person with Benchmark Disability of Low Vision or Blindness. 

27. Staff Selection for Different Cadres

The Staff Selection Commission or SSC is very helpful for you. This exam will provide you with a job in the B and C category of a government job.

There are a total of 33 posts for which you can apply in this particular exam. There are two written exams in SSC followed by an interview and a skill test.

Group B:

28. National Defence Academy or Naval Academy Examination
