1. The Indian Struggle (1920-1942)

The first book of all Subhash Chandra books is The Indian Struggle, which covers the 1920-1947 history of the Indian independence movement to end British imperial rule over India. It is a two-part book. This book was originally published in 1947. A politicians’ and youths’ must-read book. 

2. An Indian Pilgrim

An Indian pilgrim traces Netaji’s life story from birth till his resignation from the Indian civil service. This Subhash Chandra Bose book was written towards the end of 1937 during his Europe trip after being nominated the President of INC (Indian National Congress). It is altogether a bonafide autobiography of Subhash Chandra Bose.

3. Netaji: Collected works: Volume 1: An Indian pilgrim: An unfinished autobiography

This book is an autobiography that evokes the socio-cultural environment in which Subhash Chandra Bose grew up and the lineaments of his intellectual development. 

4. Words of Freedom: Ideas of a Nation

This book is a series of speeches given by Subhash Chandra Bose in the span of ten years before the independence of India. The idea of freedom is what inspires people the most, in this book.

6. Chalo Delhi - Writings and Speeches 1943-1945

Volume 12 of Netaji’s collected works brings together all his speeches and writings as a leader of the Azad Hind movement from June 1943 to August 1945. 

7. Netaji: Collected Works: The Alternative Leadership Volume 10

The alternative leadership volume 10 comprises speeches, articles, statements, letters from June 1939-1941. Unlike the other Subhash Chandra Bose books, this one contains a deep insight into the fierce Indian Freedom struggle.

8. Netaji Collected Works: Volume 7: Letters to Emilie Schenkl, 1934-1942

Netaji collected works: Volume 7:Letters to Emilie Schenkl, 1934-1942 shows the aspects of the many-splendored personality of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This is one of those Subhash Chandra Bose books that will give you an insight into the last stages of India’s Freedom struggle too.

9. The Indian Struggle (1920-1934)

One of the Subhash Chandra Bose books, The Indian Struggle,1920-1934 pleaded India’s cause with European leaders. He returned from Europe in 1936, was taken into custody and was released after a year. 

10. Jaruri Kichhu Lekha

This Subhash Chandra Bose book consists of some important writings, articles, letters, etc. by Netaji. It is the collection of Netaji’s letter to different people. It is a 1997 edition. 

11. Letters, Articles, Speeches and Statements 1933-1937

As the name suggests, this book comprises all letters, articles, speeches and statements from a fascinating period of mostly enforced European exile in the career of Subhash Chandra Bose. This book was written by Subhash Chandra Bose and edited by Sugata Bose.

12. Netaji Collected Works: Volume 9: Congress President

Subhash Chandra Bose reached the peak of his political life when elected as the President of Indian National Congress in 1938. This volume brings together Bose’s speeches, letters, and writings from January 1938 until just after his resignation as Congress President in April 1939.

13. The Indian Struggle

This book was written by Subhash Chandra Bose during the second world war. A planned German edition was never out during Bose’s stay in Europe during 1941-43 but an Italian edition came out in 1942. Emilie Schenkl assisted Bose in writing this book whom he later went on to marry.

14. Alternative Leadership: Speeches, Articles, Statements and Letters

This volume brings together the writings and speeches of a crucial phase in Bose’s political life immediately prior to his emergence as Netaji of India’s army of liberation. This book was edited by Sisir Kumar Bose and Sugata Bose.

15. Renunciation and Realization: Correspondence (1926-1932) Netaji collected works

This volume opens with Bose’s prison letters written during the last year he spent in Burmese prisons in 1926’’1927. It closes with another set of his prison letters from many different jails during the second phase of the Civil disobedience movement in 1932. 

16. Famous Speeches and Letters of Subhash Chandra Bose

This Subhash Chandra Bose book, as the name suggests, is a collection of famous speeches and letters of Subhash Chandra Bose. However, a new version of this book has been created to avail it to future generations.

Another Subhash Chandra Bose book, India calling is a book not known to many but resembles one of the finest book written by Subhash Chandra Bose.

A beacon across Asia: Biography of Subhash Chandra Bose, is a biography of Netaji. The aim of the biography is to place Subhash Chandra Bose in a correct historical perspective with regard to his much-publicised revolutionary activities, and to provide an understanding of an extremely complex man, much maligned by Britain and greatly misunderstood by his allies.
