Valentine's Day is named after Saint Valentine, a Catholic clergyman who lived in Rome in the third century. A lot of stories have emerged about the origin and how it altered from centuries to centuries.

During the point of Valentine's life, many Romans were converting to Christianity.  But Emperor Claudius II was an infidel and hence strict laws were made about what Christians were allowed to do.

So they were not allowed to get married. Claudius wanted them to be completely devoted to Rome and thus he passed certain laws to prevent them from marrying. According to one hagiography, Saint Valentine began to marry these couples in secret Christian ceremonies.

This was the beginning of his reputation for believing in the importance of love. From then to now, the celebration of this day has quite altered a lot. Earlier it's celebrations were religious but now it has become a part of popular broaden culture.

1. Rose Day

On the seventh of February, the celebration of Valentine’s week begins with the essence and beauty of roses.  It is the onset of Valentine's week. On this day, people express their love to their loved ones by giving roses to each other. The colour of the rose also depicts the emotion behind it. For example, a red rose signifies the emotion of love whereas a yellow rose symbolizes friendship and a  white rose symbolizes peace.

2. Proposal Day

The second day of valentine’s week is celebrated as proposal day. After celebrating the rose day, people celebrate proposal day by expressing feelings to their loved ones or their crush. Propose Day, celebrated on February 8, is a day for fanatics. One of the best days of the whole Valentine week! The day brings the best opportunity to spell out your emotions. Ask your crush most romantically and tell them what you feel for them directly.

3. Chocolate Day

Chocolate is the perfect gift for every occasion. who doesn't love chocolates?  So, on the third day of Valentine's week, Chocolate day, give chocolates to your loved ones and let them know that they are the dessert of your life. This day is celebrated on the third day of Valentine’s week. On this day, people forget about all resentment in their lives and instead exchange adorable luscious chocolates with each other. It's a way of showing your concern to them.

4. Teddy Day

This is the fourth day of Valentine’s week. On this day, people give cute teddy bears to express their love for the person and to make them joyous. A cute teddy bear can change a distressed mood and bring a smile to their faces. Now, who doesn't like teddy bears? Making your love with an extra mesh teddy is the cutest way to let your love know how much you adore them and what they mean to you. Exchange Teddy bears on this day with messages of affection.

5. Promise Day

This day is important because you make momentous promises to your loved ones for an enduring relationship. A promise to stay by their side eternally.  This is the fifth day of Valentine's Day. This is the most significant day of Valentine’s week for lovers. On this day, people make commitments or vows to their loved ones for a long-lasting relationship. And if two people have a strong affirmation towards each other, they will cross every impediment no matter what.

6. Hug Day

The sixth day of Valentine’s week is celebrated as Hug Day. On this day, people comfort their loved ones by hugging them. Sometimes when words can't explain an emotion or complicate the situation, a hug can solve the issue. Just hug your partner and let them know that they are special to you and you do not want them to go from your life.

7. Kiss Day

This day is celebrated just, before Valentine’s day, on 13 February. As Valentine’s week is celebrated to express feelings of affection towards your loved ones, a kiss can be the best way to show love to your partners. It represents love, care, and affection. Out of the hundreds of ways, expressing love in the form of a kiss is the best thing you can do to make them feel cherished.

So these are the 7 days of Valentine's Week that are the most beautiful days of the year for people who are in love. But, Love has no thresholds. And if you're thinking about what you should do on this day, then take a break and just chill.

It is not necessary to have a romantic partner with whom you'll celebrate the 7 days of Valentine’s week. It’s a new era, and you can rejoice on the day of love however you want. It's a day of love, dedicate this day to yourself or your friends and family.
