To be honest, this list might be unending but we have hand-picked; the best for you and your smile. Don’t worry, you won’t lose commitment to these for a fact, enjoy your binge time and gut-wrecking laughs.

1) FRIENDS

Friends Tv Series wallpapers online hd

A cliché? No. Preferably a classic, there are a galactic number of reasons why friends were one of the most successful show ever not only did it make us a part of the 6 people group who were figuring out life in New York- Rachel made us fall in love with Jennifer, and Phoebe’s “MY EYES” moment was relatable to all.

Central Perk | FRIENDS TV Show

How can we forget the unlikely match of Chandler and Monica that ended up being the greatest TV ship ever and many such moments that made friends our family and is continuing to grow?

PS- the reunion made me cry, oops.

2) BIG BANG THEORY

the big bang theory cast

One of the MUST-watch and staple line-up in your list of comedy tv series should be BIG BANG THEORY. Scoring at the top of the list of CBS’ biggest hits this show aired in 2007 rapidly gaining popularity, it revolved around a circle of really “nerdy” scientists living across from the extremely dazzling Penny- played by Kaley Cuoco; who’s a later duo with Leanord proved us just how unconventionally love can work out (talk about Amy and Sheldon, phew.) This show also portrayed just how much you can find the right people in life without having to worry about similarities and sent a beautiful message to us in a ridiculed way.

3) THE OFFICE

Tbs The Office Quotes. QuotesGram

"If I don’t have some cake soon, I might die.”-STANLEY HUDSON I agree with Stanley completely!

The Office is a show that will make you laugh and cry through its heartfelt moments; which are plenty. Ironically so much so in an “office”, this comedy TV series carries Dwight and Jim’s iconic prank wars and Micheal’s mess. As the youth continues to enjoy the office just as much people did when it was at its prime- it becomes one of the greatest comedy tv series to be on your bucket list. Not convinced yet? Micheal will convince you with his one-liners.

4) HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

Watch How I Met Your Mother Season 1 | Prime Video

Yet another sitcom classic is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER which is the perfect balance of reality’s bitter-sweet moments portrayed in a hilarious way making it rapidly popular. What’s the best part is that it carries so much weight of emotion along with it; you cry, laugh, and learn at the same time. Don’t believe me? Here are some of the popular quotes to change your mind “I’m searching, searching for what I want in life. And you know what? I have I realized that no idea what that is.” — Barney Stinson”

“We struggle so hard to hold on to these things that we know are gonna disappear eventually. And that’s noble.” — Lily Aldrin

if not for anything, just watch it for Robin’s smile and I promise you won’t regret it.

5) TWO AND A HALF MEN

With Alan’s marriage on a harsh front and divorce being the ultimate conclusion- he and Jake move into Charlie’s beach house in none other than Malibu. We also see Berta a strong-tongued woman who resists the change in the household but slowly tends to accept it. Revolving around men the humor in this sitcom is raw and upfront making it controversial yet popular in the comedy tv series in the industry.

6) SILICON VALLEY

Dwelling into the world of developers and businessmen, silicone valley turns out to be a great comedy tv series offering humor and education together; as a perfect pack in its unique way. With a 4.9 google audience rating, we get an idea of how this show has affected its watchers. Someone even said, “I don’t consider this hyperbole but consider it one of the best comedy tv series ever.” Worth a watch isn’t it?

7) CORPORATE

Another American show with a commendable cast and writing “corporate” makes it to our list because in its nihilism it shines a light on ironic humor coming from something deeper that we often seem to neglect and hide as “funny” aspects of our lives. Appreciable and thoughtful work is done in the writing of this show especially Matt and Jake’s exhaustive lives and their corporate ‘do to do’ makes it realistic and funny altogether making it a perfect daytime add-on to your list of comedy TV series bucket list.

8) THE SIMPSONS

I for one was a skeptic of animated shows. I believed when it came to comedy we urge to see the emotions coming from the great acting skills of a person; how can we possibly balance that with animation? Yet the Simpsons was the wall breaker for me.

Is it worth watching? YES. Not only do they portray a character for every emotion they also fill the moments with gags and jiffs to make your time worth a while. As for my recommendation, I would most definitely recommend the 6th season, combining some of the greatest episodes of the show it is surely suited for the greatest hit it received.

9) THE IT CROWD

Before Big Bang Theory aired this show had made its “nerdy” characters heroes of comedy already by including scenarios of them being in particularly silly situations and displaying its leads in the most stereotypical nerd job ever which is OFCOURSE technical support. Writer Graham Linehan has put together at the core of the show a set of characters that perfectly fit the messy and clumsy lifestyle. Roy’s frustration and Richard’s smartness going to heck in practical situations add the perfect blend of laughs you just so need.

10) SOUTH PARK

The satirical animated show made its way to television in 1997 previously starting as a short. The comedy TV series’ makers did not see the $900 million on their way when their journey started and that the show would grow to its 30th season. My personal favorite is Timmy who usually keeps to himself and only says his name; he does sing in a rock band though making him my favorite. This series offers many such quirky and unique characters in their ways making it to our list.

11) BROOKLYN 99

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (TV Series 2013–2021) - IMDb

Do we have to talk about this? I mean, after all, it’s Brooklyn 99. There’s so much to say in so few words that it becomes hard to express- this show has been a rollercoaster of emotions for so many of us that even watching it twice wasn’t enough. This show can act as therapy and Jake’s “cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool” is an all-time favorite anger management technique for so many. Combining thrilling lives of cops with light-hearted comedy, love & emotion this should be considered one of the most epic comedy TV series out there. If you have already watched it once though watch it again.

12) SEX AND THE CITY

Sex and the City dynamically changed the TV industry when it aired first in 1998. Its boldness and frank representation of the 4 women having fun and figuring life together as friends while portraying the key element of “sex” which is a basic reality of life shown in the series/movies authentically made this show immediately gain popularity among young individuals almost everywhere. It is starring caste especially the on-screen narrator “Carrie Bradshaw” became fire spread popular in Hollywood marking it as milestones in her career, and why not all of their work is admirable just as much as all 4 of the beautiful actresses are. If you’re in the mood for some “good ending movies” or “teasy and hilarious series” for a girl’s night this is just the perfect comedy tv series for you and your girlfriends.

13) DEAR WHITE PEOPLE

This series is a take on the movie with the same name, it has done a great job picking off just where the movie left and it talks about some of the inescapable paradigms of American culture as a group of people of color attend their college in a predominated by whites ivy league. The students face several social issues and biases as they attend their school but through all of that this comedy TV series balances its drama and chuckle ratio sending us a strong message in a happy way.

14) YOUNG SHELDON

Young Sheldon (TV Series 2017– ) - IMDb

A spin-off of the popular series mentioned here before the “Big Bang Theory” this science-y series is particularly based on thAe character Sheldon Cooper’s childhood. After all, someone with that level of mind-blowing intelligence and yet quite loving in his annoying way is worth looking back on. Young Sheldon is pretty much the same as he is now except he had graduated from school when he was supposed to be in 5th grade and faces the most ridiculous situations as he sits in his college classrooms and goes through life being “Sheldon”. He is a wonderfully unique character with an intriguing personality blowing your brains with the humor hidden in his knowledge.

15) SEINFIELD

The best part about this comedy tv series is that Jerry Seinfield- a stand-up comedian features in this show as himself making the on-screen life perplexingly relatable to all. Based in New York City (obviously) Jerry’s friends also contribute to this show as being a close part of his inner circle.

16) MODERN FAMILY

Watch Modern Family Streaming | Peacock

Starring the Gorgeous Sofia Vergara who even today is a crush for millions, Modern Family is an American sitcom written by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan. It aired for 11 years from 2009 to 2022; the mocking style of speaking to the camera makes the pre-set of the show so real to its watchers that they love being a ‘part’ of it. Gloria and his husband Jay’s constant sarcastic moments add the sweet and sour factor of marriage in a fun way to the show making it a total ‘family experience’ for all.

17) THE ADDAMS FAMILY

The Addams Family is based on the typical “wealthy Americans” with 8 of its family members who enjoy gory and grisly factors without slightly realizing how frightening people find them.

18) AMERICAN VANDAL

Let’s be honest here- as much as it doesn’t sound realistic to us we all love “teenagers on a mission”. Since the genre was gaining much popularity in the Netflix world American Vandal had to have contributed. The show focuses on the post cause of the high school pranks that led to Peter and Sam’s investigation of the matters- unlike many thrillers, this satirical drama includes the ideal ratio of comedy in it making it an edge-of-the-seat comedy tv series.

19) MR. BEAN

A face that everyone knows whether it be a cartoon or the great actor Rowan Atkinson. When we were 10 we laughed the same as we do now and it has never failed to make us smile no matter what stage of our lives we were in. Also, the fact that he merely ever utters a single word doesn’t fail to do justice to the character- however, when he does choose to speak he says something that equally hits our hearts.

“Enjoy your own company, instead of expecting someone else to make you happy”-MR. BEAN, are the words still close to the hearts of many, as is Mr. Bean.

20) FAMILY GUY

The show has recently started to become extremely well known, thanks to Instagram and TikTok (not that it wasn’t famous before, now we just get why). With the praiseworthy sarcasm and adult jokes hidden in this well-animated series, it sums up one of the funniest all-time shows ever. Stewie a ‘baby’ being increasingly relatable to adults and teens is one thing that never fails to amuse anyone. Mixed with family moments and sarcastic injustice to Meg (who’s btw dubbed by my childhood crush Mila Kunis) the 20-season-long animation will become your favorite re-watch comedy tv series for sure!

21) BOJACK HORSEMAN

BoJack Horseman's finale signals the end of a Netflix era - The Verge

An adult animation featuring a humanoid horse who is the adoptive father of 3 young ones but is surrounded by self-hatred in a pool of alcohol- the show first came out in the 90s becoming popular. Bojack has again made a come back now with a human and his ex-girlfriend to take on new missions. The different theme category of the show makes it stand out in the whirl of Netflix comedy tv series genre- quite a ride right?

22) RICK AND MORTY

What’s more fun than a grandpa taking you on special and galactic ventures? This animated science fiction deals with the absurd adventures of Rick’s gadgets and his grandson's missions, as rick unexpectedly shows up on his daughter’s doorstep years later planning to live with the family. Written by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon this Adult Swim satirical sitcom is still a hit.

23) ARCHER

Centering around the dysfunctionalities of friendships-Sterling Archer is the world’s greatest spy and loves being undercover. He and his co-workers repeatedly plan to sabotage one another’s mission within the parameters of its amazing animation.

24) BIG MOUTH

As simple as it is - the comedy tv series explores the various aspects of sex and the human body and some teenage friends face the realities of facing puberty alongside everything else in life. Puberty is a hard time and BIG MOUTH presents exactly how taxing situations can become happening to some extent with the right people.

25) I LOVE LUCY

Well, well, well this is an American sitcom that came out in 1951 so you know what to expect- It is what we would call “the golden era” period of comedy tv series as they had just been introduced to the world- making I LOVE LUCY so special. If you’re curious about the story; it is mostly a situational comedy tv series presenting now ‘iconic’ situations that inspired many.

26) THE GOOD PLACE

The plot summary of this one is interesting and if you were a fan of the Disney movie coco this one’s for you so hold on- Eleanor arrives at “the good place” which is an afterlife dimension where people go to after they’ve done justice to their deeds in their lifetimes. However a small mistake causes Eleanor to be there when she wasn’t meant to be at all, she then takes on the adventure with her other half named Chidi to earn a spot in the “good place” whose architect is Micheal - who ended up being her neighbor.

27) MARVELLOUS MS. MAISEL

Based on the life of an early American wife in the ’50s the lead Midge “Maisel” comes to terms with her hidden talent which turns out to be; standup comedy. She decides to pursue a career that is also seen to be starting with the show's iconic “gaslight”.

28) UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 4 Trailer - Final Episodes - Rotten Tomatoes

One of my personal favorites is this one, accidentally added to “add to watch” and didn’t regret it. “TITUS ARE YOU KIDDING? No, if I was you would be chuckling, chuckling hard.”- Titus.

And so we do chuckle, chuckle hard amid the CRAZY adventure Kimmy takes on with Titus against the reverend. After finding out about the “other girl/s” she’s determined to look for them. What other girl did you ask? You will have to find that out yourself.

29) ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

Micheal Bluth, a single parent of a 13-year-old boy George Micheal ends up in a rather uncanny situation where he has to bind together his dysfunctional family because of Micheal’s father being sent to prison for messing with the (accounting)books of the family company. What will he do in a situation where they have no money and everyone’s in panic?

Watch the show and see how all the drama strings together in the form of hysterical comedy.

30) COMMUNITY

Yet another creation of Dan Harmon COMMUNITY ran for 6 seasons with nearly 110 episodes in total from 2009 to 2014. Jeff Winger who falsely creates an undergrad degree from Columbia University is dismissed from work and goes on to get an actual degree from Greendale community college in Colorado.

31) SCRUBS

A great work of Bill Lawrence's “scrubs” is a medical-drama comedy tv series, "What we decided was, rather than have it be a monotone narration, if it's going to be Zach's voice, we're going to do everything through J.D.'s eyes. It opened up a visual medium that those of us as comedy writers were not used to.” - Bill Lawrence

We see the protagonist and narrator of the first eight seasons J.D(John Micheal Dorian) who is replaced by the show's new lead Lucy Bennet in the 9th season. The story thematically surrounds different scenarios creating various plots as well as including J.D’s daydreams.

32) GAVIN AND STACY

William, Simon, Neil, and Jay are seen growing into adults from their teens when they wanted the grown-up “booze and sex” experience.

“oh yeah, hanging out by some bins, near a skip, in the cold, doing drugs, very cool, very cool indeed-Will. Well, indeed it is.

Golden Girls: Secrets from the Set You Never Knew | PEOPLE.com

Another old classic in the history of comedy TV series is the sitcom GOLDEN GIRLS, released in 1985 the show has 7 seasons. The story encapsulates 4 women who are seen as “old” and move under one roof after their divorces creating perfectly a content and cheery aura for the show. The on-screen character Dorothy also looks for a mate as her Mother Sophia adds a hint of humorous scenes by giving her iconic “picture this” moments.

36) CATASTROPHE

37) GIRLS

Girls | Official Website for the HBO Series | HBO.com

Lena Dunham’s show GIRLS was much hype back in the day and its pilot gained much popularity when it aired because “Girls” was known as Lena’s unknown project which created a whirlwind of mystery. Lena was climbing the ladder of success just at the time Girls aired, the show had focused on the lives of young millennial women ‘finding life in New York’ (I get why they call it the city that dreams are made of now). The comedy TV series once released gained excessive popularity and hype with an equal amount of appraisal and critique.
