Wild Wadi Waterpark – Dubai

Wild Wadi Waterpark

Dubai, one of the most favorite tourist destinations in the World comes with a variety of tourist destinations. One of the most known tourist destinations is Wild Wadi Waterpark. Situated in front of the stunning Burj Al Arab, it offers 30+ rides and attractions for the family. It is a bundle of joy for children and definitely for adults as well. Wild Wadi is themed around the tale of Juha, a known character from the Arabian legend.

It is a must-do attraction whilst in Dubai, a good way to keep you wet and fresh in the summer heat too. Its imaginative structures, great rides and slides with friendly staff and good facilities makes you feel great.

How to reach

Wild Wadi itself is a tourist landmark and the nearest Metro station is the Mall of the Emirates metro station. From the Metro station, you need to pick a taxi which will charge you around AED 20-25.

Entry Ticket

One can buy tickets online or can buy at ticket counter also. The ticket price ranges from AED 250-300. Ticket price may vary based on the season. In winter season, generally prices are discounted. Authorities keep on coming with offers and promotions to attract the tourists. If you are Dubai based, there are many promotions on credit card, by using which you can get discounts Upto 30%.

Time to Visit

Waterpark is opened from February to December and generally closed during January 10th to Feb 10th for annual maintenance. For any queries, you can refer official website for timings and offers.

Locker Facility

Waterpark has its own locker facilities for which you need to pay on ticket counter itself. Locker rent vary based on the locker size. Smallest locker may cost you around AED 40. Renting a locker is a good decision to keep your mobile phones and cameras safe.

Rides

There are rides for all age of groups. For kids, it includes racing slides, water guns, Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon, Juha’s Journey and high waves Flood River. For adrenaline, it includes Tantrum Alley and Burj Surj. Along with, Jumeirah Sceirah, Wipeout and Riptide Flow rides add to the thrill.

Jumeirah Sceirah is most thrilled ride and should be taken only by the strong heart guys.

Precaution

There are several rides which are not suitable for guest with disabilities, pregnant guests and guests with heart and back problems. All rides have information boards at the entrance to rides containing the ride rules and who can and can’t take the ride due to its nature.

It is also to be noted that maximum weight limit on the Master Blaster for single tube is 120 kilograms (264 pounds) and for double tube is 180 kilograms (396 pounds) so you need to plan accordingly.

Refreshments

There is no free refreshments and you also cannot carry outside eatery with you. There’s variety of restaurants (mostly junk food stuff) available inside and options are ok if not great. Comparing outside, restaurants are expensive and for a small meal, you may have to spend AED 70-80 for two. Quality may not be as great but not bad either.

What to Wear Policy

There are guidelines for swimwear policy issued by the waterpark authority.

By reading above guidelines, it looks strict guidelines, though you may see visitors breaching the swimwear policies on some occasions.

Crowd

I would say, crowd is decent, joyful and mostly comes from European, American and Locals nationalities. Indians and other Asian nationalities also add up to this lovely crowd.

 Shopping

There are inside shopping stores also where you can buy Swimwear, Shades, Mobile Accessories and other fashion stuff. Prices are high so better you equipped already with all necessary stuff.
