TuitionWale - Conceptualisation & Startup
In 2015, after completing the 12th standard from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Shivam Pandey had an inclination towards digital marketing and was interested to explore how the internet works to reach out to millions of people.
To meet the expectations of his family, he moved to Lucknow to pursue graduation. His journey began when he realized that digital marketing was his true calling. Dropping out, he moved to Delhi and did a diploma in digital marketing.
Due to the lack of financial support, he had to work full time and manage to study at the time left for him. Struggling hard to study with the job, he felt the need for a platform where students can earn to sustain their living and still have ample time and energy to focus on their higher studies.
Speaking about the purpose behind the startup, Shivam Pandey, Founder, and CEO of TuitionWale said, “I can say from my experience that the young students who begin to work at an early age due to lack of financial support, find it very hard to continue their education with the burden of a full-time job. They end up settling for low paying jobs if they are unable to complete their studies. The idea behind TuitionWale is to provide opportunities to aspiring students who wish to support themselves financially and continue studying further, so they can grow in life.”
Therefore, the basic idea was to create a platform for students to earn their pocket money and get financial stability while they continue to focus on their studies.
TuitionWale - Operations
TuitionWale is an online platform that has connected over 80,000 student teachers with students for all subjects at different levels. They can register themselves and by giving tuitions, they can earn enough for them.
Students can find a reliable tutor without much hassle and tutors don’t have to go door to door to find students. Students and parents can raise the inquiry and get a suitable tutor and connect with them, mentioning their preferred location and budget.
The key provision by TuitionWale is the free demo class, which helps students and teachers understand each other better. Only if the learning requirements of the student match with the teaching methodology of the tutor, the partnership begins.

On the startup’s future plans, he adds, “We are designing a mobile app to make things simpler for users. Our team is excited to expand our networks in all parts of India.”
