Hogwarts Legacy, as you may or not know, is coming out in the next 10 days. While I've been keeping up with reports, the game is going to be huge.

I’ve grown to love what I’ve seen in the gameplay trailers of the game and I’m looking forward to playing the game in its entirety. However, there is one thing that I wish I could do in the game and that is use magic spells without using my wand.

I know that using magic wands have always been customary in Harry Potter games, I also get that the magic wands have become a bit of a crutch to lean on when it comes to channeling magic energy through said wands and it has become the only way to really cast magic spells. I’d like to at least have the option of using magic without using the wands.

I mean, think about it. Making it an option in the game would at least give the gamer the freedom to choose if they want to go wand or no wand. If I’m being honest, the magic energy comes from the magician not the weapon they’re using to send out said spell.

For example, if you could use a fire spell to light a torch using your finger, what lit that torch, your fire energy or your finger; many vote your fire energy. I mean, if I was going to do like Harry Potter did in the Sorcerer’s Stone, what did he use when he destroyed that vase, his wand or did his innate magical ability break that vase?

You get my point, but I wish you could use magic without a wand in Hogwarts Legacy because I think it would be so cool and I also believe that every gamer should be given the option to choose to have a wand or not.

Not that I’m trying to shit all over what the game has become so far, I love what the game is and what it entails, I’ve always been a lover of magic myself along with having ideas about using said magic. I just find it surprising sometimes that the gaming devs didn’t think of this or ideas like this.

But it is also for this reason that I should be on the gaming circuit with these gaming devs because I have so many ideas and it is these ideas that makes me want to try to get out on the circuit. That aside, Hogwarts Legacy is shaping up real nice and I believe it is one of the games that is going to be game of the year.

I know last year Elden Ring made game of the year even though I thought God of War Ragnarok was going to be it but I got snowballed as I’m sure everyone who thought so did, but I digress. In accordance to the game, there’s going to be some professors that’ll be outside the ‘curriculum’ ring. My advice when this game comes out, break it down to areas.

For me, the easiest way to find and get to thru an open world game is to divide up the areas into separate entities then tackle each one. The game is already going to be massive. The amount of open world space and the areas to explore within said space equates that of Elden Ring. Consider Yourself Warned!
