Raj Kumar Rao Cried As Irrfan Khan And Vidya Balan Dazzled The Stage Of Filmfare Awards 2018

After all those debacles and controversies in Hindi Cinema, the very first celebration of the year took a glance recently. King Khan hosted the 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 in his Badshaahi manner, adding more glamour to the star-studded affair.

The Filmfare Awards were filled with dazzling performances and emotional speeches. The most coveted award ceremony of the country came out with its list of entertainers who have given a sweet smile on the faces of their huge fans in the year 2017. Feeding Trends brings you the highlight of the Filmfare awards.

Battle of Hindi vs English Medium

The movie “Hindi Medium” has failed all the English-medium nominees, by bagging the Black Lady for the Best Film. This time, the credibility was not a subject of the question. (Like when Golmaal Again took the award in Zee Cine Awards for the same category.)

And obviously, the film was able to crack the magic of the relatable content portrayed through its dialogues, "Ye abhi naye naye gareeb hue hai" and "Is desh mein angrezi zabaan nahi hai, class hai."

The tale of parents who are desperate to get their daughter admitted in a 'good' English medium school in Delhi, struggling with their 'Hindi-medium English', is well deserved to be awarded as the best film.

Mrs. Sulu aka Vidya Balan

The role played by Vidya, of a housewife, who gets a job as a night radio jockey in a popular radio channel, talking to lonely listeners and oddballs about love and intimacy.

Do you want to talk to Sulu? Well, you’ll always hear her, as Tumhari Sulu’s lead actress Vidya Balan won the tag of Best Actor in Leading Role (Female) and took the Black Lady to her home happily. Finally, she justified the song, "ban ja tu meri rani" by becoming the Queen of the night.

After receiving the award from The Timeless Queen Rekha, they both grooved like “Hawa Hawai”. And Vidya will always amaze you with her power-packed Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment!

Critics to “Popular”

"Today god promise I speak English because English is India and India is English." is one dialogue from Hindi Medium that speaks volumes. It required a multi-talented actor to justify this role.

Irrfan Khan (Raj Batra) played the role to fight the battle of Hindi vs English language, like every common Indian, and grabbed the coveted Black Lady for the Best Actor In Leading Role (Male) for the movie “Hindi Medium”.

He has crossed the bridge of able critics to become “Mr. Popular”!

Jagga Jasoos Has An Elongated List

It is for the first time ever that someone’s “Galti se mistake” made him win the award. And that too, not just one, but many (to elongate the list). The first award is for the Best Music Album, followed by Best Lyrics (Galti Se Mistake), Best Background Score, and Best Choreography (Galti Se Mistake).

Inspired by the adventures of Tin Tin, the adventure of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif did its best at Filmfare Awards 2018. All we hope for 2018 is to see more successful adventures from both of them. The most mind-boggling stuff was when Raj Kumar Rao was bunged for the Supporting Role for Bareilly Ki Barfi, even after giving the fabulous films like Newton and Trapped. The National Award winning actor Rao was nowhere on the list here. We had Varun Dhawan in the nominations of Actor in Leading Role, but not the Bollywood’s Newton.

Hard luck for Raj Kumar Rao at Filmfare, but it is certainly not the end of the world. Many more awards are yet to come.
