Night Skin Care Routine

In the previous blog I have shared the information regarding morning skin care routine that you can follow in summers to keep your skin healthy, hydrated and plump. Now with morning routine , night skin care routine is also very important in order to give your skin some quality time during which it can relax, rejuvenate and repair it self. Here I am sharing few steps which you can follow in the night time to keep your skin healthy and nourished.

1. Cleansing your skin

After facing a long, tiring day it become very important to clean your skin so that it can breathe properly. Cleansing is the most important step in night skin care routine. For removing the oil , dirt and makeup properly you need to double cleanse your face. Double cleansing is a game changer when it comes to preventing acne and pimples. It completely cleans your skin without irritating it. It breaks out the sunscreen and other make up products easily and makes the skin clean.

The first step for double cleansing is to use a oil based or water based micellar water which will efficiently remove all the impurities from the skin without irritating or drying it out. If you have heavy makeup on then use a oil based micellar water otherwise for normal daily makeup removal you can use the water based one.

2. Use a good toner

A good toner can be effective in closing open pores ,it also maintains the PH level of your skin and gives you a refreshed look. You should always look for toners which are alcohol free. Choose toners as per your skin type.

3. Use a correcting serum

Once the toner is absorbed by the skin you can move to your next step that is using a good serum.  you can use any serum as per your skin type and skin concern. Use Niacinamide if you want to control excess sebum production and want to get rid of that oily nose. Use hyaluronic acid serum if you want intense hydration or you can use any other ingredient that suits you and aligns with your skin type and concern. Apply your serum on your face and gently massage it into your skin and give it 2-5 minutes in order to get completely absorbed by the skin.

4. Use a good moisturizer

Now many people will think what is the use of applying moisturizer in summers but moisturizing your skin is very important no matter what the season is especially during night. If you have oily skin type then use a gel based moisturizer other wise go for a normal cream moisturizer.

Pro tip: Use some extra amount of moisturizer in your under eye area. It will help to keep your undereye area hydrated and the chances of you getting dark circles will get reduced a bit. It also saves your money from buying those expensive under eye cream.

5. Use a hydrating lip balm

Apply a thick layer of lip balm on your lips to make them soft, plump and hydrated. 

Pro tip: Instead of spending money on those expensive lip masks and lip balms use vaseline jelly on your lips. Apply a generous amount on your lips before going to bed and it will help you in tackling all your concerns related to your lips.
