My Gaming Project!

You know, lately I've been working on my gaming project and last night I had a small crisis of conscious. You know it's funny, I used to say to myself, "my project is going to be different."

I still pride myself on that, but you know, I'm also at the point where I can't see the line anymore between what I have been doing and what I am doing now.

It's easy to spend time writing a walkthrough on a game, but it is even easier to make the excuse that you'll easily forget the knowledge that you've gained in games.

For the longest time, this was me. But, I remembered something, knowledge doesn't fade especially gaming knowledge.

I played some Crash 3 Bandicoot on the N. Sane Trilogy last night on my PS4 and I still remembered how to do the basic things and I even made a play for the platinum relic on Makin’ Waves, I still know how to do that.

I have grown obsessed with losing all of my gaming knowledge, but earlier this morning, my wife was playing God of War collection on her PS3, and I remembered exactly what to do with the Ballista and that it could be used to mow down the minotaurs she was facing as well.

But you know what else I found, losing knowledge of how to do something isn’t so easy especially if you have been doing it forever. You think that mechanics, when they work on cars, they forget how to do oil changes or how to change a fuel pump or even how to change a transmission? No, I would think not otherwise what good would they be?

You know, I started replaying Devil May Cry 5 recently and I was trying to make it more about trying to remember where the collectibles are. I already know what to do as far as combos, buying stuff from the store etc.

Like, I think my sole purpose with this project is to remember the important stuff or things that I wouldn’t like where to find the Blue Orb Fragments or clues on certain boss behaviors such as when I fought Artemis, her light bath and stopping it before she does something catastrophic; well, catastrophic for me.

Gaming knowledge doesn’t fade, I am an adamant believer in this because of the fact that you don’t move onto other games with remembering how to do certain things like using the Sniper Rifle on the RPG Launchers in the tower on Uncharted 2 in one of the final areas of the game.

I mean, I just proved it right here and now that gaming knowledge doesn’t fade. When fighting the boss at the Tower of Lajah, let your Ninja Clones do the heavy lifting i.e. dealing damage when the boss is aerial so you can take care of the boss on the ground in Ninja Gaiden 2 on NES.

If you ever get to a point where you revisit an old game and still remember how to do everything, it’ll just prove my point about gaming knowledge. I’m pretty sure that you still know how use a fireball to kill a sledge brother in Super Mario 3 or using the kick slash on the Black Spider Clan ninja whose legs you cut off after combo’ing them in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. See, I proved my own point again.
