  • On your device, connect to the "MSRM_ext" network using the default password.

  • Launch a web browser and input the default IP address assigned to the extender.

  • Log in to the extender's configuration page using the default username and password.

  • Select your existing Wi-Fi network and enter its password.

  • Customize additional settings if desired (SSID, password, security type, etc.).

  • Apply the settings and wait for the extender to reboot.

  • Move the extender to its final location for optimal Wi-Fi coverage.

  • Connect your devices to the extended network with the same name as your original network, but with "_EXT" or a similar extension.

How to Reset MSRM Wifi Range Extender? 

Here are the short steps to reset the MSRM Extender:

  1. Locate the reset button on the extender.

  2. Press and hold the reset button using a small object like a paperclip or pin.

  3. Continue to hold down the reset button for approximately 10 seconds or until the indicator lights on the extender begin to flash.

  4. Release the reset button.

  5. Wait for the extender to restart and reset to its factory default settings.

  6. The reset process is complete.

Note: After resetting the extender, you will need to set it up again from scratch, following the initial setup instructions.

How to update MSRM WiFi Extender’s Firmware?

Here is the short process for updating the firmware on the MSRM Extender:

  • Visit the MSRM website or the manufacturer's support page to find the latest firmware for your extender model.

  • Download the firmware file to your computer.

  • Connect your computer to the extender either through a wired Ethernet connection or wirelessly.

  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.10.1 of the extender to access its configuration page.
