Maybe You’re Not Uninspired, You’re Just Too Lazy
A sobering thought.
How many opportunities have you lost just because you were too lazy to act on what you desire?
Most people throw away their entire dreams, the life they actually want to live, simply because they never raised their creative spirits high enough.
That is so tragic, and unfortunate.
But it can be fixed.
You can fix it.
On the Deathbed, His Regret Was to Leave Ideas Undone
Most people never learn to overcome laziness. When you’re not accountable to accomplish great things, you live life mediocre at best. You know, for a fact, that nobody knows your dreams except you. If you let your creative ideas bloom, it has the potential to change the world.
Something very similar to Leonardo Da Vinci. The greatest painter, engineer, sculptor yada yada.... but best known for his renowned painting The Mona Lisa, original painted the size of a small TV —took him 15 years to paint!
Even worse, The Virgin of the Rocks, was commissioned to be finished under seven months, but this guy was so deep into his Alice in Wonderland fantasy …that it took him 25 freaking years to complete it!
He was particularly sentimental on his deathbed, when he apologized
“To God and Man for leaving so much undone.”
Man, did he die with one hell of a regret!
None of us can hold a beer to him, you see.
Da Vinci never took time to publish his findings, because he was too lazy. For all the sketches (from helicopters to human anatomy), which he designed like five hundred years ago —can you imagine the technology we could have slept on today?
In a world where people are too lazy to overcome laziness, you’re simply winning just by doing it.
Always remember that. No matter how much uninspired you feel during times, as yourself, “Who else would share this version of my story if not me?”

Accomplishing What you’re Capable of. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Some people consider themselves unworthy. That’s why they settle for less. A less-paying job, a bad relationship —to name a few. But we all face the consequence of our decisions.
Giving a chance to our big dreams is not just a big F U move to capitalism, it’s also the only way to honor yourself. Your identity.
I wanted nothing else than to be a writer.
A professor of mine used to say, ‘The best Way to become a writer is by… Writing!’ It’s kinda obvious (duh). But most of us put too much thought and abstract blocks of presumptions — that it’s impossible to believe the solution is so straightforward. All we had to do was start.
Think about it. Why do you have to make your work perfect when you benefit more by just putting it out into the world? The only person who judges you more than anyone else is yourself.
Sometimes what you create is mediocre to you, but it might be inspiring to someone else. Or maybe you just have to write a thousand pages to get further better at your work.
The only thing that matters is convincing yourself that you are worth it. The rest is as simple as moving a tiny rock. The convincing —you might have to do it every time you face an obstacle, every night you go to bed.
It’s about being what you are, and being as good as possible at it, without succumbing to all the things that draw you away from it. It’s about going where you set out to go. About accomplishing the most that you’re capable of in what you choose. That’s it. No more and no less.
Ryan Holiday.
If you’re waiting for “perfection”, you’ll always remain uninspired. The chase of perfection will paralyze you. Accept what you’re capable of today. Give it a shot. At least you’ll upgrade yourself from the status of being “too lazy” to “moderately cool” in your own standpoint.
That’s so much more dope, right.
Understand This….
Now you believe your ideas and dreams are worthy right?
You have to work on getting 1% better every single day.
Think about how Da Vinci decided to work on one single painting for 15 years!
How many of those days was he tired? Irritated? Did he ever feel like a loser and slept through Sundays because he was uninspired?
I bet he needed a takeover pizza on bad days, and so did he rightfully deserve to Netflix and chill….Do you think he could’ve pulled it off if he had wifi at home? No way, right!
Then how are you going to work on your dream project for months, or maybe a few years?
Not every day is a breeze through sunshine. If you halt your work every time you get a little tired or irritated; then you are suffering from a lack of discipline. But if you push yourself too hard to the edge of burn out —then you are a fool.
A lot of people would label the extremes to be a misplaced sense of macho. But it’s stupid. You have to stand by the balance in life.
One Simple Rule: When you don’t feel like working, you have to start doing it anyway. Don’t break your streak, but pay attention to how your body and brain is responding. After working for a while, if you honestly feel sick, stop working. However, if you were just feeling drowsy, keep going along.
It’s not about how much you accomplish in a day, it’s just doing everyday.
Sometimes, our brain likes to test waters by sending “lazy” signals. If you give into it, you’ll lower your work stamina and your brain loves that. Our brain loves to keep us resting. Don't fall for that trick.
Final Thoughts
I read a really good quote one time. It’s one I think about whenever I feel uninspired.
“Your entire life is designed around avoiding failing. You don't want to look like a little fool. But you’d rather be the little fool as long as you don’t have to feel the sting of failure.”
How much of our life revolves around being lazy? How many opportunities are you missing out on just because you fear the fleeting physiological emotion of your heart sinking into your stomach for a bit?
That’s it? That’s what's blocking you from a better life? That's enough to cause you to go to grave with unfulfilled dreams?
