Lighting Project Real Estate Agency and Property Administration

Almendros is a real estate agency and property administration in Barcelona, which was born in 1963 with the mission of offering an excellent service, optimal for its clients.

In this article we will talk about the recent lighting project for its new offices , located in the upper area of Barcelona, in Turó Park, in the Sant Gervasi neighborhood. A project that launched a new stage, since it unified its two offices up to now in a single location, a modern office that is both sober and elegant.

Lighting offices of a real estate agency in Barcelona

Collaborating with the Pilar Líbano studio is always a pleasure. They were very clear about what they wanted to convey with the new interior design of the space (100% renovated), and with the lightrs in the different areas of these offices.

Having such clear ideas, our mission was mainly technical advice regarding office lighting regulations , and guidance to help you achieve what you had set out to do.

The offices of this real estate agency, of approximately 240 m 2 , are distributed over two floors, each one with different work spaces, customer areas, and service areas.

As we usually do in this type of project, we began to work in two very clear lines : technical lighting on the one hand and decorative lighting on the other.

How to integrate lighting into the aesthetics of the office?

The intention was for the luminaires of the technical part to be completely integrated into the decoration of the spaces, and not to disturb visually. They had to be part of the whole, providing optimal functionality.

For this reason, we rely on three very specific types of lighting:

– For common areas and passageways, LED recessed lights from the TAL brand , Cedrus model.

– Regarding accent lighting (to provide light emphasis to certain specific points), we opted for spotlights from the FLOS firm .

– Along with the previous ones, suspended aluminum profiles were incorporated, also for transit and work areas.

How to light to transmit sensations and brand image?

In offices of this style, so personal and unique, decorative lighting plays an important role in transmitting a brand image, visual sensations in customers, in addition to its own lighting functions.

In the large meeting room of the office (used for internal meetings, with clients, and to hold owner meetings), a very particular luminaire was placed.

It is a lamp of significant dimensions, in a brass finish , designed by Piet Hein Eek, and proposed by the interior design studio.

For its part, in a visiting room , adjacent to the previous one and of smaller dimensions, lamps that came from the old offices were reused. An example of this is the MARSET Discoco lamp .

The value of good planning to illuminate offices

From Avanluce we want to highlight the excellent communication and synergies created between the team of interior designers and us in this office lighting project.

It is a pleasure to be able to work with professionals who design the space down to the last detail, and know how to convey the needs of the client and those of the project.

Working on a well-defined project, and knowing how to communicate it to all the members of a team, has the reward that the execution and the result becomes a common success, as is the case with this project.
