Jason Momoa Gets a New Dc Universe Role in Striking Fan Art

James Gunn and Peter Safran's new creative direction for the DC Universe leaves fans curious as to what will become of Jason Momoa's Aquaman character. Recently, Momoa put an end to some of these speculations and hinted at playing other characters within the DC Universe.

Jason Momoa recently revealed in an interview that he plans to do "other things" within the DC Universe after Aquaman 2. That could include another Lobo project or another superhero role for him!

Aquaman

DC Comics fans can expect to see Jason Momoa return in a major role soon, as he has been hinting at an upcoming project. Rumors suggest he might be cast as Lobo, making him the first actor to portray one of James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe characters.

Aquaman is a superhero who made his debut in 1941 in More Fun Comics' anthology series and has since appeared in various DC comics titles. He was an original member of the Justice League of America, appearing both in its original series and more recent reboots.

He possesses superhuman strength and speed, as well as the power to create sonic booms from his breath. Additionally, he can communicate with sea life.

He made his first appearance in the DC Universe during its reboot at Infinite Crisis event and went on to star in several issues of his own series - Aquaman (vol. 6) from 2003 and Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis from issue #40 until issue #57.

Lobo

DC Comics recently unveiled their relaunch under co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, one character that immediately came to mind: Lobo. He's a gothic space bounty hunter with an affinity for fine cigars and an evil mouth; in other words, Lobo is almost unkillable - much like DC's answer to Deadpool or Wolverine.

Lobo may possess a healing factor, an effective sniper rifle and an appetite for vice, but his moral code sets him apart from most DC characters. He values his word above all else and always follows through on what he promises.

Lobo was a beloved character during the 1990s, with crossovers with Superman, Justice League heroes like Wolverine and Marvel heroes like Iron Man. Recently he's had an inspiring comeback in Czarnian-themed comic book "Crush and Lobo," where he reconnects with his daughter who also works as bounty hunter.

As previously reported, Jason Momoa is a likely candidate to play Lobo. The actor certainly has an eerie, Lobo-like presence and it would seem fitting that they be paired together for an action-packed DC Universe feature.

Superman

Jason Momoa has long been a fan of the DC Universe, so it's no shock that he's thrilled to join its new film universe. The actor has already portrayed numerous iconic DC characters such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in previous roles.

Momoa has an exciting slate of roles coming up in DC, one of which will be especially challenging for him.
