It Reminds Me

A poem

Photo by Kari Shea on Unsplash

I wonder if I did it right

Leaving the old home - mine

That I built  together in the light

Of past emotions undercovered

Between the anger and the pride

That slapped me a lot, verbally

Today I went to this broken dome

Where present finds me, not anymore

In a memorandum of the passing by

It reminds me of the emotion’s hollow

To live in the comfort that was undenied

Pursuing the mirage of  being right

In situations physically followed

With hit inside and outside the lines

Of my recent crawling sorrow

Or mourning by the darkness bright

About serious things long ago

In fear of a new-founded blaze of glory

Will I dare to write a better story?
