Ipl 2023 Schedule: All Matches Time Table, Venues and Groups

The BCCI released the schedule for the forthcoming season on Friday. The opening match of the IPL 2023 will be between the defending champion Gujarat Titans and the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad.

The final league game will be played on May 21. The 16th edition of the competition begins on March 31.

During the league phase of the competition, each of the 10 franchises will play seven home matches and seven away matches.

The board determined that there would be 18 doubleheaders among the 70 league games that will be played. During the span of 52 days, 12 sites will host league games.

The schedule and locations for the Playoffs and Final will be announced before the summit match on May 28.

On the day of the double headers, the evening matches will begin at 7:30 pm IST, while the afternoon matches will start at 3:30 pm IST.

On April 1, the opening day of the season's inaugural doubleheader, Punjab Kings will play the Kolkata Knight Riders in the afternoon at Mohali, while Lucknow Super Giants will play the Delhi Capitals in the evening.

The Sunday, April 2 evening showdown will feature five-time champion Mumbai Indians and heavyweights Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Before playing the remaining home games in Jaipur, the Rajasthan Royals will play their first two home games in Guwahati. The Punjab Kings will play their first five home games at Mohali before playing their last two home games against the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals in Dharamshala, the board said in a press release.

On May 21, RCB and GT will square off in Bengaluru's renowned M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the last league phase encounter.
