Inauguration Ceremony – Youth Immersion Programme

Friday, February 24, 2023Lucknow | Today on 24th Feb. 2023 Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow launched a new Certification Course for Startups in the name of “Youth Immersion Programme” in association with UPLC and SIDBI. Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director – Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow congratulated the shortlisted startups. She also expressed her gratitude to SIDBI and UPLC for their support and involvement in the programme.

Dr. Shubhendra S. Parihar

Dr. Shubhendra S. Parihar, Chair - Executive Education Department at Jaipuria Institute welcomed the guests and told them about the objectives of the programme. "We have shortlisted 25 startups from a list of 75 registered for the training programme. It's a 74 hours training programme in both online and offline modes, so, it's a hybrid programme to help entrepreneurs learn continuously", said Dr. Parihar 

Shri Abhishek Tiwari

Shri Abhishek Tiwari, Associate Director - KPMG said "I interact with startups on day to day basis and I feel that a lot of startups have started onto the journey of becoming a venture and have started doing a lot of things. However, most of the startups are not spending enough time on learning activities. I thank want to thank all of you that you have signed up for learning today and this extensive program is going to help you immensely. A program that starts from the question of who are you. That is the most fundamental thing. Why should I get into entrepreneurship learning?"

Shri Manish Sinha, GM – SIDBI was the Guest of Honor in the session. He explained the benefits of the programme for startups and also expressed the commitment of SIDBI to provide the best possible support in connecting eligible startups with various funding options and networks. "Nowadays startup is the most discussed subject in India and I won’t be surprised because of the kind of support the startups get. The state and central governments are extending various incentives and promoting the vision of making the youth become job creators from job seekers. The finalized participant startups have already gone through a good rigorous process of selection", said Mr. Sinha.

C.A. Jatin Srivastava

C.A. Jatin Srivastava, a well-known name in the area of Startup mentoring was also among the distinguished speakers in the session. He said that this is a unique initiative keeping startups in the center. He also congratulated the Jaipuria Institute of Management, SIDBI, and UPLC for starting this programme.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Professor & Chair – Incubation Centre explained the nomenclature of the programme. He provided the details of the mode of delivery and the resource persons. He also added that the resource person panel is a blend of Industry, Academia, Investors, and Policy Makers. This blend will ensure that the specific problems of startups are addressed and the best possible guidance can be provided.
