I'm Pissed! Star Wars Jedi 2: Survivor Got Pushed Back!
So, if you’re a Star Wars fan then get ready because I have some very bad news for you. I don’t know if you know this or not, but one of the most anticipated game of 2023, Star Wars Jedi II: Survivor has been pushed back to April 28, 2023 instead of March 16th like it was supposed to be.
Before I really come at this from the angle I am, it’s worth noting that there 2 games coming out in March and that’s Wo Long, Fallen Dynasty and Resident Evil 4 Remake not to mention that most of the focus will be on Hogwarts Legacy, a game due out on the 10th of this month. So on the logical side, I can see why the aforementioned Star Wars game was pushed back.
However, what I am not happy about is the fact that it got delayed especially since so many of us who are Star Wars fans don’t get to touch nor buy the game until its April release which, okay kind of sucks, but I guess that’s the law of the west as the saying goes.
But on some real shit, if they really wanted to make a statement delaying the game, they should’ve pushed it back to May 4th since it’s Star Wars day. The game devs would’ve scored mad points for sure. I mean, think about it. Sitting at our respective gaming areas, with our PS5 controllers in hand, trying to get the hang of the controls and really immersing with our Star Wars heritage.
I was so looking forward to this game and I would’ve given anything to be able to get play it on the 16th of March like I thought I was going to get to do. Funny how plans change sometimes and what really reeks is the fact that for most of us, the trailers are as good as its going to get. You would think not having a PS5 would be, but even that pales in comparison to this!
Not to mention having to wait even longer to get all of those long awaited questions answered like who was that in the Bacta Tank, it wasn’t and it’s not Starkiller because Starkiller was dead long before Cal Kestis came into the picture.
In fact, I’d wager that Cal Kestis’ story started long before Starkiller’s i.e. Galen Marek. The ‘Emperor Palpatine impostor’ or whatever you want to call this man in the black robe, he’s not the Emperor. Also, I want it to go on the record that for any of us who saw Return of the Jedi and even A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, the Emperor didn’t directly involve himself in the affairs of snuffing out Jedi. That job was usually left to Darth Vader alone.
So there are definitely a lot of unanswered questions which now we have to wait a little longer to get answered, but I guess if it’s any consolation, we gamers can get every closer to the game’s countdown via preorder so there’s that.
Ultimately, this still doesn’t make the wrong that has been committed right by no means but we have to wait until almost the end of April to see and play this game; it sucks, but it’s the law of the west!
