How to Travel by Train, Bus, and Car from Delhi to Agra

Look for buses that indicate "Deluxe" or specifically include air conditioning as an included amenity because standard buses might be packed, sweltering, and stop at several cities along the trip.

When you should go

Agra is best visited between October and February, when the oppressive summer heat and monsoon rains are avoided, as is the case for many other Northern Indian cities. Make sure your vacation to Agra doesn't coincide with a Friday since the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays for religious reasons, regardless of the season.
