But Draco has also been bullied by his peers for most of his life. His best friend Crabbe was always there for him, but Crabbe wasn't exactly known for his compassion or thoughtfulness towards others—he was really just looking out for number one.

Draco Malfoy is a classic example of how you can't judge a book by its cover. He's always dressed in the fanciest robes and has the most expensive accessories, but what does he really have to offer?

When it comes down to it, Draco Malfoy is actually kind of lame. Sure, he's got a fancy wand and a fancy house, but he doesn't know how to use either of them properly.

The first time we see him casting spells in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, he's trying to make his own hair grow back after Hagrid locks him out of the bathroom during the Sorting Ceremony at Hogwarts. Instead of using his wand properly (which would involve pointing it at his head), he whips around like an idiot with his wand in hand while screaming "DO IT!" over and over again—and nothing happens.

It gets worse from there. He also attempts to curse Harry with an Unforgivable Curse during their first meeting at school, but instead transforms himself into a ferret (and then again later). It seems like Draco just isn't cut out for magic at all!

In the first book, we learn that Malfoy and Harry are enemies. Malfoy is a rich, spoiled brat who thinks he's better than everyone else because of his family name. But then something happens in the second book: Malfoy starts acting differently toward Harry. Instead of trying to make his life miserable, he starts helping him out and even gives him a time-turner so that he can go back three hours in time at one point during their fight against Voldemort's forces.

In addition to this change in behavior, there are other signs that Malfoy likes Harry. These signs start to show up after Harry finds out that Snape is a bad double agent working for Voldemort, which means that Snape killed Dumbledore. In fact, it's only after this revelation that Draco starts acting differently around Harry, and let's face it: who doesn't become kinder and caring after learning about something so traumatic happening to someone you?
