Tech startup HappyShappy recently announced the winners of “The Big Festive Giveaway”, a Diwali themed online contest aimed at celebrating the diversity and spirit of Indian women entrepreneurs. The startup joined hands with MissMalini, acclaimed Bollywood entrepreneur & author as well as six women-led homegrown brands from across the country. It also revealed its plans for the upcoming holiday season. Here are all the details!
At a time when the issue of FOMO and social anxiety looms large among the youth, the pressure of putting one’s best foot forward and having fun during holidays exacerbates matters. To promote mental wellness and enjoy Diwali 2019 in its true spirit, Delhi based startup HappyShappy recently joined hands with MissMalini and hosted “The Big Festive Giveaway”. Uniting women from all over India and celebrating their diversity, participants re-lived their fondest Diwali memories, shared life experiences, and connected with new people with matching interests.
Participants majorly comprised of users of the HappyShappy app as well as members of MissMalini’s Girl Tribe (MGT) platform. MissMalini is a well renowned Bollywood insider, entrepreneur, author, blogger, and role model for young women. The MGT comprises of over 30,000 women who talk, share, support and inspire each other through an active Facebook group and meet-ups. Similarly, 85% of HappyShappy’s 6,00,000 users are primarily women who use the app for discovery, positivity, entertainment, and shopping.
After sifting through a wide gamut of entries, the judges chose three winners from across India.

Each winner received a beautiful gift hamper worth Rs. 10,000, with products ranging from fashion to beauty, food, female hygiene, and sustainable décor.
