Glamour Style, or How to Arrange an Elegant Apartment

Glamour-style interiors are incredibly stylish rooms. No wonder many people want to arrange their apartments in the spirit of this trend. Unfortunately, implementing this assumption in practice may cause us more difficulties than expected. So what is glamour style?

To understand the glamour style, we must go back to the 1930s and 1940s, or more precisely, the so-called "Golden Age of Hollywood". It was then that the film industry flourished. At that time, the biggest stars of the silver screen were fond of chic, elegant creations and no less stylish interiors, which after some time began to be referred to as "glamour".

Colour

You might be wrong if you think that the dominant colours in the glamour style are limited to pink and gold. The described interior design trend loves almost all colours, which are saturated and expressive. Therefore, there will be a place here for both the gold, as mentioned above and pink, as well as dark navy blue, bottle green or even black. It is essential, however, that the proportions of individual colours are correctly balanced. Excess gold or pink can make the room look tacky, while too much dark navy blue will visually reduce the space.

Arrangement of windows

We pay attention to genuine windows when entering a given room for the first time. For this reason, it is worth paying great attention to their arrangement. The proverbial first fiddle is played, of course, by curtains and curtains. Let's start with the curtains. Such should be a subtle background for heavy, fleshy emerald green curtains. They may or may not have a gloss effect. However, it is essential that the motif on them is ethereal, delicate, or it was not there at all. Glamour-style curtains look entirely different. In this case, it is worth focusing primarily on high-quality materials, preferably with the already mentioned gloss effect. Let us remember, however, that exaggeration is not welcome, and only one of the described elements - curtains - should give the impression of being luminous. Describing curtains in the glamour style, it is impossible to omit the materials from which they should be made. Fleshy velour or thick, high-quality polyester will be perfect for this role. And the patterns? Among the recommended motifs, there are primarily fancy ornaments and floral patterns. Naturally, we can also opt for plain curtains devoid of any motif. Furniture

The glamour style loves quilted sofas, couches, armchairs, and extremely impressive couches and chaise longues. They will perfectly match a small coffee table. Which one specifically? For example, glass with a metal frame or wood with decorative legs. Because the glamour trend is an enormously eclectic style, we can successfully opt for a minimalist or modern table. Among other recommended furniture, wooden chests of drawers and decorated dressing tables are also worth mentioning. The latter will work both in the bedroom and the dressing room. A great complement to the described equipment will be a soft, thick carpet in the middle of the room.

Accessories

Glamour-style imperial room interiors are full of chic accessories. A large mirror in a decorated frame will work exceptionally well as a wall decoration. At the same time, in the case of a ceiling, it is worth choosing a chandelier with elegant crystals or a fancy, openwork decoration. Speaking of light, candles are another accessory that perfectly reflects the spirit of glamour. It is worth placing them, for example, on the chest of drawers, coffee table or dressing table described above. The perfect company for these candles will be fresh flowers in an elegant vase.
