What truly differentiates human beings from one-another is the content of their brain. This content is known as thoughts. Isn’t it? In the information flooded world, almost every content is available on finger tips!

Just like information, danger also awaits us while on the internet.

A plague is perpetuating. A new drug is getting consumed by many teenagers, which is devastating their focus, will-power, and calmness. They are unable to control themselves or abstain from the use of these drugs. By the word drugs, I didn’t mean alcohol, cigarette, weed, rum, whisky etc.

This new drug is found online and the average age of exposure to this drug is 11 years. PORN is the new drug. You might be confused. How is PORN a drug? It is rubbish.

Yes. Porn is a drug.

When you watch pornographic content, it goes into your brain from the eyes and instigates the secretion of chemicals like dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin. These send signals to your body’s neurons as they get released and you feel good. That is what exactly drugs do! Give you satisfaction!

To feel good, their brain craves for these erotic videos/photographs. And to get that feeling, a person watches them repeatedly. It is so addictive that hardly anyone can resist it. Every single second, more than 30,000 internet users view pornography.

Repeated exposure to such content slows down their brain and many psychiatrists have said that watching porn causes the brain size to shrink and grey matter of brain reduces.

Many of you might be thinking, why should you believe these?

‘I know what to watch. And if some men and women are doing it happily then what’s the harm in watching it.’ – A common phrase from the many readers who might be reading this.

Believe me, the man and woman in pornography did it only for money. They aren’t even allowed to use condoms or other preventive measures. Thus, they get many STDs (Sexually transmitted disease) too.

And the reality of PORN industry is, everyone is high on drugs. Don’t believe me, believe the words of an American PORNSTAR, Andi Anderson.

“After a year or so, of that so-called glamorous life, I sadly discovered that drugs and drinking were part of the lifestyle. Cocaine, Alcohol, ecstasy were my favorites. Before long, I turned into a person I don’t want to be. After doing so many hardcore scenes, I couldn’t do anymore. I just remember being in a horrible situation and experiencing extreme depression and being alone and sad.” - Andi Anderson

Porn and love are not synonymous.

Many teenagers (or youth) confuse between love and porn. For them, both the words (love and porn) are synonymous. As far as I have understood, love is about talking with your partner volubly, being together (although may not speak or express), caring for each other, fighting without any reason, caressing each other, sincere kisses, soul-fulfilling touches, a bit of sex etc.

While in pornographic videos, none of this is found. How can the two words be synonymous?

Porn is simply the dominance of man over woman, shown without being ashamed of it. Just ponder, if porn was about love, then why their camera focuses only on genitals and not on the faces? PORN is all about four activities (a) Sucking (b) Pressing (c) Licking and (d) Fucking.

More consumers cause more content production.

I am unable to censor this $97billion industry globally but we all can, collectively. We see how women are raped on screen in this industry, would you see anyone being raped in front of you? Certainly not. Then why on your screens?

Remember the more you watch, the more content will be made. It is a simple law of supply and demand. Thus, because of us, in some part of the world, a lady will be shoved into this industry to meet your demand. Could you allow this to happen?

If no, remove this drug from your life. To all the parents, your child is very vulnerable online. Please provide the gadget to them only for a short duration. Keep a watch on their online activities. An organization named Fight The New Drug is working hard to explain this myth to people.

I have done my bit to help them. Even you can. Yes, you can help someone by removing PORNfrom your life, by falling in love and not in PORN.

You can even help them by sharing this fearlessly to as many people as you can.
