1. Abhaneri – The City of Brightness

History lovers wandering in search of hidden tales of bygone years, this place is the perfect spot. Abhaneri has one the largest and deepest wells in India ‘Chand Baori’. With 3500 narrow steps over 13 stories this Baori was invented by the natives years ago to harvest rain water. The stepwell also has a Palace at the bottom which served as a place for the royals during the hot summers. The Baori is surrounded by a large courtyard which houses intricately carved sandstone artifacts and idols that date back to the 10th century.

2.  Sanganer

If handmade work is what captures your fascination, then you cannot afford to miss a visit to Sanganer. The place is famous for wooden block textile printing, handmade paper art and Jaipur’s blue pottery. What sets this place apart is the textile printing is unique in design with the bright coloured patterns always printed on white backgrounds. Another must visit attraction of the place is ancient Shri Digambara Jain temple made of red sandstone and which has sky-high Shikharas and fine carvings.

3. Amer Sagar

Enjoy the rustic life? This hidden lake in Jaipur is a must-visit. Amer Sagar lies between Kheri Gate and Anokhi Museum. The lake provides a mesmerising view of sunrise and sunset. Nestled in the heart of the surrounding Aravali Hills, surrounded by shades of green, the peaceful and picturesque lake is a perfect blend of calm and beauty. To get the best view of the lake visit it during monsoon and winters.

4. Galta Ji Temple

if you wish to see the religious side of Jaipur then Galta Ji Temple is where your quest ends. Galtaji is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site situated 10 kms away from Jaipur. People visit the site from in and around the city to take a dip in the holy waters. It is believed that a saint named Galav lived, practiced meditation and did penance here. The temple is famous for its natural water springs. The place resembles a mansion or haveli of yesteryears and it offers a picturesque view of the Pink City.

Another popular attraction here is the Banganga Fair held every year on the full moon day of Vaishakh (April-May).
