Canadian "Polar Bear" Silver Coin

Did you know that Canada is home to about 15,000 polar bears (2/3 of the world's population)?

Therefore, I will share about the "Polar Bear" silver coin. The first one was minted in 2013 and has the following specifics:

- 1.5 ounces of pure silver sample 0.999;

- Weight 46.65 grams;

- Diameter 38 mm;

- Serrated edge;

- Mintage 17 500;

In 2015, a coin of a polar bear with her cub was minted, which quickly gained popularity. It has the same characteristics as the original, but is 4.5 mm thick and has a mintage of 7 500.

Both coins related to the polar bear and the cub are available in gold. They have improved editions in the coming years.

The minted 2022 coin "Polar Bear" is also popular with the following additional specifics beyond those originally set in 2013:

- Weight 31.11 grams;

- Thickness 3.15mm;

- Purity of silver 0.9999;

- Mintage 35000;

- Bright radial lines on the obverse and reverse that create a lustrous finish;

- Special personal mark on the reverse "paw print";

The "Majestic Polar Bear" is also available in 24k /99.99% pure/ gold, as well as the "First Strikes" edition in 1oz silver and 1/10oz gold.
