In the past, films with heroines were remembered only with tears.

Their pains and sufferings become stories. Now viewers are seeing all such things in serials.

After some time heroine oriented horror movies started.

They also bored the people by seeing them.

It is impossible to tell such stories now.

That is why lady oriented stories are breaking new ground.

They are creating stories that combine the power of women, their skills, courage and suffering.

'Yashoda' is also such a story. Many directors saw the glamor aspect in Samantha.

But...she is a talented actress hidden in her.

Those who have seen 'The Family Men 2' web series will know the level of Samantha's action.

Now there is a film that will make the actress sharp while fully utilizing the action aspect of Samantha.. That is 'Yashoda'.

Surrogacy - Mystery deaths

Yashoda (Samantha) is a Basti girl. Chellai means life. She takes care of her like a mother rather than an older sister.

Yashoda needs money for her sister's operation. For that she agrees to surrogacy. Yashoda, who agrees to carry a surrogate for money, is taken to a secret place.

There are hundreds of girls like Yashoda who are trying to become mothers through artificial pregnancy.

Everyone's goal is to make money. A group is working to earn crores by using that box as bait and artificial pregnancy.

On the other hand... some celebrities die in a row. The CBI has determined that the deaths were natural.

A team works hard to solve the mystery. Is there any connection between the death of celebrities and the gang that earns crores through surrogate pregnancy, if so, what is it? Yashoda entered the secret place.. what kind of conditions did she face there? These are all things to watch on screen.

This story has all the elements required for a thriller.

The movie starts with a mysterious death. After that.. Yashoda makes an entry.

The fact that Yashoda agreed to wear an artificial pregnancy for money.

After that.. they move to a secret place. The atmosphere there, the stories of girls carrying their pregnancies hoping for money like Yashoda, the emotion between them.

Meanwhile, the CBI investigation also makes the story bloody. Even if it says surrogacy on the surface - the fact that there is some mystery inside... gets to the audience's imagination shortly after the movie starts.

But that is not the end. The directors also tried to keep this matter under wraps as much as possible.

But... they left some clues here and there.

The audience understands from the beginning that Yashoda's character has two shades.

It is a loop left by the director.

In fact, if Yashoda's character was made to be very innocent, this story would have been better.

Yashoda is searching for something...that's why...the fact that she has come to the secret place through surrogacy is left to the audience's imagination.

Will this also happen?

Even till the break... the real story does not begin.

After that comes the moment of untying the knot.

What is the story behind surrogacy? What is the secret, the villains tell as a lesson.

In fact, all these things need to be known to the hero or heroine through investigation.

It is a mistake of the screenplay to say that whoever is behind this conspiracy is the one doing the same.

Otherwise.. those elements are a bit shocking.

The viewer gets the idea that something is happening in the form of surrogacy but... when he comes to this point, he wonders if this is also happening.

The movie doesn't end there. Here comes a real twist.

This scene which is revealed right before the climactic scenes... is like life to the whole story.

There are elevations and effects like ``Pokiri'' here - surely this movie gives a kind of satisfaction to the audience.

In fact, it is for such a point.. People will watch this movie patiently till then.

When the audience is satisfied... when the element that the audience is expecting and waiting for comes, then they will watch whatever is said.

Even if there are small logics missing in the story telling.. they don't matter.

Mistakes will be accepted. Same thing happened with Yashoda.

Climax is good but drags on for a long time.. big minus.

The conclusion of the CBI investigation parallel to Yashoda's story is also bland and speculative.

It is difficult to run any story in a single layer. Yashoda also has two layers.

One is the story of Yashoda and the second is the CBI investigation. But both these are not enough.

There are very few scenes in the story that remain a puzzle. If not... whatever the director has written, all of them are interesting.

For example, in the first scenes, Samantha comes into her room and sees a pigeon from the window.

But the pigeon did not arrive. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, who is entering the same room, sees Samantha and says, ``You can't find that pigeon.''

The scene is normal. But... those conversations and visuals have another meaning.

Samantha stands in front of the mirror.

Samantha gives a stubborn answer saying ``You shouldn't do that''. The meaning of those words is different.

Like this.. The director wrote the scenes wisely.

Otherwise, it is not enough to keep the audience breathless for two hours.

Everything.. Samantha!

This can be said as a challenging role in Samantha's career.

Participating in action scenes while looking pregnant means... an actress has to show many shades.

Samantha handled them properly. In the first scenes, she appeared as an innocent girl, then as a fun-loving person, and finally she turned into action mode.

The Telugu audience is not aware of the actress in Samantha. This is a movie that fully brings out the action aspect in him.

Along with Samantha some of the key characters have two shades. The element of interest depends on when the second dimension is revealed.

The director duo has worked efficiently in this regard. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Unni Mukundan... could design these characters well.

The acting of Varalakshmi and Unnimukundan in their respective roles is also good.

Rao Ramesh spread some hilarity with his comedic timing.

This is a film about women's power. Samantha's entry was good when she said, 'Courage comes first'.

Songs have no scope. The only existing song was used as a bit song.

The background music and camera work are perfect for the mood of the story. The hospital set is nice. It looked heavy.

As far as possible, the film was completed on this set. There is something new in the point written by the directors.

An interesting point can be made. The audience was also surprised to some extent. If not.. there are loose ends here and there, some audience can predict the main twist, the main flaws are. Moreover.. Intillipadi is not even a zoner to be seen comfortably.

There is enough stuff to sit around in OTT.. in Yashoda. It will be a bonus if people come to the theaters too.

Surrogacy.. a gang that earns crores from it.. all these are connected points. If not.. it is like a swid game.. by keeping everyone in one place and doing it secretly.. it has happened a bit far from the reality for the common people.

There was a danger that the audience would not own that point.

Emotion, thrill.. along with Samantha's acrobatic workout, ``Yashoda'' pass marks fall.
