The third season follows the story of Deion Elliot a local football star in Atlanta who is tormented by the events of his tragic past. The series premiered on June 30, 2015. After its second season concluded a two-hour Halloween special aired in October 2016.
2. Hemlock Grove
Next up on our list of Best Horror TV Shows on Netflix we have Hemlock Grove an American horror, streaming television series produced by Eli Roth, based on the 2012 novel of the same name. The show examines the strange happenings in Hemlock Grove, a fictional town in Pennsylvania. Roman Godfrey heir to the town’s wealthy Godfrey family befriends the town’s newcomer Peter Rumancek. The series premiered on Netflix on April 19, 2013. For Hemlock Grove, Netflix earned the first Primetime Emmy Award nominations For original online-only streaming television at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013.
3. The Haunting of Bly Manor

It mostly acts as an adaptation of the 1898 novel “The Turn of the Screw by Henry James”. Like its predecessor, the series follows a nonlinear narrative. The Haunting of Bly Manor follows the events occurring in the eponymous countryside manor in the United Kingdom. The series was released on October 9, 2020, by Netflix. The series received positive reviews from critics.
4. Marianne
Next up on our list of Best Horror TV Shows on Netflix we have Marianne a French horror, streaming television series created and directed by Samuel Bodin. The plot revolves around the young novelist Emma who realizes that the characters she writes about in her horror novels are also in the real world. Emma is forced to return to her hometown after the woman who haunted her dreams fifteen years ago begins to re-appear. The series comprising eight episodes were released on 13 September 2019 on Netflix. It was canceled after one season in January 2020.
5. Locke & Key
Next up on our list of Best Horror TV Shows on Netflix we have Locke & Key a 2020 American supernatural horror drama streaming television series developed by Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite. It is based on the comic-book series of the same name. After Rendell, Locke is murdered at the hands of former student Sam Lesser, his wife Nina decides to take residence in Rendell’s family home Keyhouse. The children soon discover some mysterious keys and a demonic entity that is also searching for the keys for its malevolent purposes. It premiered on Netflix on February 7, 2020. The series was nominated for six accolades and won one.
6. Stranger Things

The Duffer Brothers developed the series as a mix of investigative drama, alongside supernatural elements portrayed with horror, science fiction, and childlike sensibilities. The series premiered on Netflix on July 15, 2016. Stranger Things has attracted record viewership on Netflix and received multiple awards and nominations and won many, including 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and six wins.
7. The Haunting of Hill House
Next up on our list of Best Horror TV Shows on Netflix we have The Haunting of Hill House an American supernatural, horror, drama television series created and directed by Mike Flanagan. It serves as the first entry in The Haunting anthology series. It is loosely based on the 1959 novel of the same name. The plot alternates between two timelines following five adult siblings, whose paranormal experiences at Hill House continue to haunt them in the present day and in flashbacks. Depicting events leading up to the eventful night in 1992, when the family fled from the mansion. The series premiered on Netflix on October 12, 2018. It has been nominated for 10 awards and won three.
