If you want to see a movie at a nice Milford theater, you're lucky. The new Milford Movie 9, repurposed from a former Walmart, has everything you need for a great night out, including recliner seating, an on-site cafe, and online ticketing.

Repurposed former Walmart

Milford Movies 9 is the first of its kind in Delaware and the second in the state, following the Dover location which opened last year. Owner Arthur Helmick has repurposed the former Walmart/Sitel Building with a well-funded and savvy public/private partnership. The re-invention will include the construction of a modern, comfortable and efficient movie theater in the heart of Milford. It is slated to open by the end of the year and will feature a high-end digital screen and surround sound. A state-of-the-art concessions area and a full-service bar will also be on tap.

Cafeteria

For the Milford local, you will be pleased to know that the cafeteria has a movie theater in town! The long-awaited movie palace will be opening in the spring of 2020. It is the first of its kind in the Milford area. Located off Route 3 in Milford, Delaware, the moviehouse is also situated near several fine-dining restaurants. The moviehouse features nine screens, a recliner seating area, and a cafeteria-style food and beverage facility. Some of the other notable features include a large size screen and an impressive array of LED lights. Among other features, the theatre boasts one of the largest movie memorabilia collections in the state.

The theater also has a full-service bar and an array of sports and entertainment events. The theatre is home to the Milford tween soccer league during the summer months. In addition to sporting events, the venue hosts other student activities, including concerts and dance parties.

Recliner seating

If you want to be seated in a recliner at Milford movies, you've come to the right place. Arthur Helmick is a local businessman who plans to open a nine-screen movie theater at the old Walmart building shortly. The project was launched in December of last year. He says he wants to retrofit the building with state-of-the-art laser projectors. This is the first movie theater in the state to feature such features.

In addition to reclining seats, the theater will also feature a cafeteria-style food area. It will also have one large-format screen.

In addition to the recliners, the building will be outfitted with advanced laser projectors. There will be USB ports and adjustable headrests. Some of the reclining seats will have seat warmers. You can also choose to sit in a chair with a chaise-style footrest. Several colors and covers can be selected, too.

For many people, a movie theater can be emotional. You may cry while watching a movie or feel connected to the people around you. Either way, it can be a wonderful experience.

Online ticket service

You can now buy tickets online if you're looking for a new movie theater in Milford. The Milford Movies 9, located at the old Walmart/Sitel building on Route 113, will open on January 2. They plan to show a variety of popular movies, including "Wonder Woman 1984," "Monster Hunter," and "Promising Young Woman." You can purchase tickets online at their website. But the seats in the 16-seat movie theater are below average, and there aren't reclining chairs or other amenities.

In addition, the movie theater is located on the busy Route 113, which isn't always easy to find. Fortunately, the theater is just a short walk from Food Lion. Another option is Fandango, which may show the theater temporarily. However, you'll have to call to confirm.

The online ticket service is still a work in progress. There's no guarantee that they'll be able to open on time, but if you want to see a great movie, you should try it.
