MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul in aviation and refers to the repair and service of an aircraft or a component. In layman’s language, it is a bundle of all the maintenance activities to ensure the safety of passengers and aircraft. It won’t be wrong to mention that MRO has become a viable business, and the credit goes to Airframe Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that primarily emphasize development and production. Thus, a lot of airlines began partially or fully outsourcing MRO services from third parties like system suppliers.
