The Magic Way to Cure Stress and Also Sleep Better!

Most of the times when we are stressed, we are immediately tortured by an unbearable headache. We try to do many things to cure it and sometimes we even succeed. We eat something or go out in open air to get refreshed and it may or may not work. What we fail to recognize or find out what is the real reason behind the headache?

The reason behind our headache is stress-caused Oxygen deprivation of our brain. And the solution to this is to provide sufficient amount of Oxygen to our Brain. But how?

The 4-7-8 breathing technique is a breathing pattern developed by Dr Andrew Weil. It’s based on an ancient yogic technique called pranayama.

In this technique, we have to:

1. Breath in or inhale for 4 seconds.(Count to 4 in your mind while inhaling.)

2. Then, hold our breath for 7 seconds.

3. And, exhale for 8 seconds through your mouth.

This technique not only helps in curing headaches but can reduce anxiety and also make you fall asleep in 90 seconds!

This exercise is subtle when you first try it, but gains in power with repetition and practice. Do it at least twice a day. You cannot do it too frequently. Do not do more than four breaths at one time for the first month of practice. Later, if you wish, you can extend it to eight breaths. If you feel a little lightheaded when you first breathe this way, do not be concerned; it will pass.
