It is so comical that almost every kid in our nation grew up by listening the example of ‘Sharma ji ka beta’. But, this ‘Sharma ji ka beta’ brought all the exemplified memes to reality. Still wondering who is this ‘Sharma ji ka beta’?

Well, when we were all busy with the chatters on the wedding of Virushka, the real son of mother India, Rohit Sharma smashed his third double ton in ODI cricket. That was just the beginning. Along with this, in the next match, he did hit the fastest-century off just 35 balls.

The India versus Sri Lanka series was a treat to watch because of his performance. It is a phenomenal comeback of Rohit Sharma to the team, after his injury during the champions trophy.

His Personal Life

Rohit Gurunath Sharma was born on April 30, 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra to Purnima Sharma and Gurunath Sharma. Due to his father’s low income, he was living with his grandfather and his uncle.

When he was 13, he joined a cricket camp and his uncle paid the fees for his camping. This was the first step for him while advancing in the cricket world. The coach Dinesh Lad identified the talent and started to mentor him.

His Successful Life

Today, Rohit Sharma is the owner of four cars, with a total worth of around ?6 cr. He is having a net property of around ?125 cr. In the past, he was unable to live with his family, but now he lives with all of them in a home of ?30 cr.

He is one of the highest paid Indian cricketers and is popularly known as “Hitman”. (Sharma ji ka beta has showed to the world that hard-work can do wonders.)

His Cricket Career

Rohit Sharma’s career is an open book. Therefore, coming from Indian U-19 team, to his first International debut in ODI against Ireland, all were remarkable ones. On September 19, 2007 he made his T20I debut against England.

Hitman's Shattering Records

1. 1. He holds the record of scoring three double ton in the history of ODI Cricket. His first double ton was against Australia on November 2, 2013, when he smashed 264 runs. Next one, was against Sri Lanka, when he scored 208 runs. And the latest was again against Sri Lanka, contributing to a phenomenal win, with 209 runs scored from his bat.

2. He joins the list of fastest-centurion in T20I with South African David Miller, as he made a record equalling 35-ball century at Holkar Stadium in Indore.

3. He becomes the only captain to score these many runs against Sri Lanka and crossed the past record of Vivian Richards, who had 181 runs against Sri Lankans.

4. He records for the most number of boundaries in ODIs that comes to a total of 37 (33 fours and 4 sixes). He accompanies AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle in this list of maximum boundaries.

5. He’s the first cricket to score his 10.61% of his career runs (6417) in the three innings alone (264, 209, 208).

6. Mumbai Indians won thrice in 2013, 2015 and 2017 under hitman’s captaincy.

His performance from a cricket camp, to the fastest-centurion was truly like a “Master-Blaster” of Indian Cricket. This year (2017) was really an honoured Christmas Gift for him.

After all wins, how we could forget the tear rolling moment when he kisses his ring and points to his wife Ritika. It can also be considered as their 2nd Marriage Anniversary Gift Undoubtedly, they are a blessed couple.

We hope, Rohit Sharma gives us plenty more opportunities to quote the phrase ‘Sharma ji ka beta’ does it again!
