The dwellers of Lucknow city might have never expected a sports event in their vicinity, but this doesn’t mean that they are not fond of thrill, passion or excitement. There are adventure lovers in the city who are bringing exceptional sensation to the city.

It’s okay if nothing like outdoor adventures are peculiar to the identity of the Nawabi city, but it isn’t certainly okay to consider that it will not happen ever. Lucknow has come a long way and now being the metro city, it has a room for everything.

You would have seen the high spirited Lucknowites driven by the passion for race, stunts and speed if you were there at Ralco Tyres Moto Fest 2018. It was a one-day thrilling adventure show, highlighting the passion of people for autocross and dirt track sessions in the city of Lucknow.

Organised by the members of Lucknow Motorsports, the dusty Moto Fest on 11th March at Shalimar One World, Shaheed Path, Lucknow, was very fresh and promising. It is going to give new dimensions to the banner of Lucknow city.

The event was under the aegis of Federation of Motorsports Club of India (FMSCI), motorsports regulation authority of India in affiliation with FIA, FIM and IOC (Indian Olympic Association).

All of them came together with the members of Lucknow Motorsports to support and promote the passion for race and stunts in the city. They even made arrangements for safety and had emergency management too. They had ambulances, medical help, fire brigade, para-medic team and private security Guards on the day of the event at the venue. How cool!

It was exciting not only for the participants but also for the viewers, as it was something that took place for the first time in the city.

Prachi Jain, Winner Airtel Dirt Track 2016 Ladies Open Class;
Kushal Bharadwaj, Winner Airtel Dirt Track 2016 (kickstarted his career with Lucknow Motorsports);
Amanpreet Ahluwalia, Maruti Suzuki Auto Prix Champion 2017;
Shashi Paul Garcha, Regional Head, FMSCI, Northern India; were there to grace the occasion.

Apart from this, it was surprising to notice that it wasn’t an ‘all men’ event. In sharp contrast to the audience’s expectations, sports enthusiasts who participated in the event comprised of both men and women. Also, a mixed crowd of young, and experienced, were there to witness the event.

As a part of the event itself, the organisers took the initiative to educate the lovers of sports about road and traffic safety, citing that roads aren’t a place to race. If you want to compete, don’t cause hindrance in the daily commotion. There is always a place to race. Doing it at the place meant for race adds more to the thrill.

The dust doesn’t notice face. The track does not see gender. The wheels do not see where people come from. It only feels the passion. It only transfers the thrill.

Amidst cultural and literature packed shows, one of a kind outdoor adventure experience that gives Lucknow is a competitive edge to other metro cities is love.

We are so excited for the next Moto Fest to take place in the city, that we simply can’t wait.

Hope, you too are!
