Just as India has a large number of movies made in Bollywood everywhere, it has a large number of Award shows too. Most of them are organised at the end of the year when new year is ringing in, so as to mark a great end to the year that just passed by and have a rewind of all great films made in that year.
Continuing the tradition of award functions, Lux Golden Rose Awards 2017 also knocked our doors. The sizzling dance performances by , Mouni Roy, Alisa Bhatt and Sushant Singh Rajput, did set the stage on fire.
But the most remarkable thing about this award show was the fact that was not just to encourage the actors for their performances but was also to celebrate the most beautiful women of Bollywood. Ever since, India has been a male dominated country and taking up acting as a profession has really been an uphill task for the feminine gender.
In such a scenario, all the leading ladies of Bollywood deserve a celebration for the identity they have created in the Hindi film industry and for the motivation they provide to other girls who want to join the entertainment industry.
Amazingly, the show about recognising actress was hosted by Bollywoods' Romance King, Shah Rukh Khan. He praised all his co-actresses making the show ooze out with glamour and glitz. He shared funny moments with them as he shared the stage with them.
I Am More Than You Can See Award
The award was given to Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is recently not appearing in films. She is busy in rearing up Taimur, the future Nawab of Bollywood.
Versatile Beauty of The Year
The award was given to Alia Bhatt, for the different genre films that she did. Her last film was Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Charismatic Beauty of The Year
Katrina Kaif was bestowed with this honour and we second that. Admiration of Katrina rises as you see her in songs like Dil Diyan Gallan (Tiger Zinda Hai), Kamli (Dhoom 3) and Heer (Jab Tak Hai Jaan).
Unstoppable Beauty of The Year
Deepika Padukone, for giving splendid performances in her movies back to back, is the unstoppable actress this year. While Padmavati couldn't be released this year, we had Raabta to console our hearts.
Breakthrough Performer of The Year
It really needs a lot of gutsy to take up roles that are unconventional. Bhumi Pednekar (Toilet Ek Prem Katha) and Tapsee Pannu (Naam Shabana) were break through performers this year.
Emerging Beauty of the Year
Young girls always need encouragement to beat the competition that they meet. Fatima Sana Shaikh (Dangal) and Zaira Wasim (Dangal and Secret Superstar) are emerging beauties of the year.
Power Packed Beauty Of The Year
Sridevi and Mom was the best combination ever. It was relevant, riveting and oddly rousing awareness, despite the dark theme. So, Sridevi Kapoor was aptly given this award.
Timeless Beauty Award
Madhuri Dixit, last scene in the song Ghagra, is the timeless beauty of Bollywood. Many hearts still beat for her.
Legendary Beauty Award
Juhi Chawla, a sensitive and sensible actress. Her performance in gulab gang was a marvellous one. She is beauty personified, hence legendary beauty.
This completes the list of awards but it doesn't completes the list of women achievers in Bollywood. Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma and many more actresses are added more to the entertainment industry every day.
