Somewhere between ‘Early to bed and early to rise’ and ‘Jack and Jill went up the hill’, we all grew up. But everywhere, these Nursery rhymes attract so many kids to school.

The most innocent phase of life is childhood. The kids are free to do anything and everything. They have their own superheroes and their own ambitions. They are fearless and bold at the same time.

This was quite evident when we reached the venue of Chota Packet – Kids Open Mic at Kocreate, Noida. There was a flood of laughter and cheer flowing in the kids’ theatre of Kocreate.

Little participants were running here and there, completely ignorant of the event that was due in some time. They were more concerned about the height at which they will sit and the chocolates they will receive at the end of the show.

The host of the show, Dhruv Mandal, had a tough time debating with the kids, who were prompt enough to combat to his witty punches. Little did they know that they were adding more glamour to the already glittering evening.

One by one the kids walked to the stage to present whatever they knew best. Songs were sung like pro singers, rhymes with actions, self-composed poetries, inspiration in life and even jokes were all over the environment again.

These kids who spoke on the mic gave a new definition to the prevalent open mic culture. This was an initiative by Poetical Boffins, to bring the budding talents in kids to the stage and to identify the next generation celebrities.

It not only highlighted their skills but also boosted their morale. Children were showcasing their best talents, with the best liberty. How badly we wished to be kids again!

May many other Chota Packets do bada dhamakas in next kids open mic!

May we be kids again!
