Ruining the hearts of thousands of girls, 7 years ago, on this day, Atif Aslam tied the knot with the gorgeous Sarah Bharwana, the girl who has been with him since the time when he was just Atif.
“Ho chandni jab tak raat, deta hai har koi saath,
Tum magar andheron me, na chorna mera hath”
Atif met her in a family wedding and later on found out that she was her college mate. From then onwards, they both were together, supporting each other in all the ups and downs of life. After about 7 years, they finally decided to get married.On 29th Of March, 2013 their wish was fulfilled in Lahore.
“Tere dil ke sheher me, ghar mera ho gaya
Sapna dekha jo humne, vo poora ho gaya”
Sarah Bharwana was an educationist who completed her Master's degree from Kinnaird College, Lahore. But more importantly, she was a kind-hearted, gorgeous and trustworthy girl. This was why she won the heart of Atif and stood by him until he became one of the most famous personalities of her country.
“Tera hone laga hoon, khone laga hoon, jabse mila hoon”
The mehndi ceremony of Atif and Sara was celebrated on March 27th with great excitement. A number of Pakistani celebrities not only attended it but also participated in the dance and singing performances. Even Atif himself performed a dance to make it more memorable and special.
“O karam khudaya hai, tera pyaar jo paaya hai,
Tujhpe marke hi to, mujhe jeena aaya hai”
Two days later, March 29th, was the ceremony of their Barat. Both, the bride and the groom looked gorgeous together. The customs and rituals followed by the family were performed and the relatives and friends were greeted and welcomed with love to enjoy the party.
“Ye jahan tum hi ho, wo jahan tum hi ho,
iss zameen se falak ke, darmiyaan tum hi ho”
The Barat ceremony was followed by the Walima ceremony. Not only celebs from the Pakistani Film industry became a part of their union, but also many other famous faces from Pakistan like Shahid Afridi, Ali Zafar were also found there.
Much to our surprise, it was the wedding of the romantic voice of the world and so it would have been incomplete without his performance. Atif made a grand entry singing Tera Hona Laga Hoon and later on hugged her, singing the song together with Sarah.
“Allah mujhe dard ke qabil bana diya,
Toofan ko hi kashti ka saahil bana diya,
Bechainiyan samet ke saare jahan ki,
Jab kuch na ban saka to mera dil bana diya”
7 glorious years of married life, no major fights, no controversial issues, no family problems, just a happy and smooth-going life.
What can be a better inspiration than this?
A perfect example of respect and balance in life.
A year later, the couple was blessed with a baby boy on March 7, who is named Ahad Atif. And junior Atif is super cute.
Whether it’s personal life or professional, Atif is a true inspiration for both.
“Sachi si hai ye taarifen, dil se jo maine kari hai,
Jo tu mila to saji hai, duniyaa meri hamdam.”
Atif and Sara welcomed their second child on 21st December 2019. Atif announced this through his social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, quoting that mother and child both are safe and healthy. The news filled all the fans delighted with joy and the end of the year got another reason for celebration, especially for the Aadeez.
