Did you ever try to stand in front of a mirror and say to yourself, “One day, it will be my day”? Well, congratulations if you have done any of these, or similar sorts of activities… Why? Simply because all these are the initial stages where a person gets the feeling of ideal self actualization. So congratulations, you are welcomed to a party of the intellectually active group of people.
Wait, what..?? Ohh, so this hasn’t ever happened to you? So did it never occurred to you that you need a change in your routine? Have you never tried to tell others or prove to them that you are better than them? Was it never your intension to be the one to whom people look forward to be like? I am sure, you can’t say no to these. Because you have had these thoughts at least once till the time you have read this. So congratulations, you too are welcomed to a world of intellectually lit people..!!
Now, the question arises that if all are intellectually lit and rich, then why is this piece even created? So, the reply is, “This is for you..!!” Yes, it’s not a joke. It is actually for you. For all of you reading this. When you have already entered the zone where you want to live your life and be the ruler of your kingdom, what is it that binds you from not pursuing it?
Fear? Of what? Loosing? Loosing what? Money? Really? Is this money all yours to be, for now and forever? No..!! Then? Afraid of what? Family? And are they really family if they fail to inculcate trust in you and your actions? Ohh, so they are concerned… And concerned only negatively? Why not concerned positively? If this is also not the problem, then what is?
It is a very common notion to believe that the failure rate is exceptionally higher than the success rate, but if you did not give up while you were a 2 year old kid and you wanted to stand up, them don’t give up now. Make the most out of your time, but do not let the time make you do the most out of you. It is not important that you need to begin from the scratch, but most important thing is to understand the difference between starting from scratch and defaming to scratch.
Ok, think about it this way… You are sharing your opinion about something in your peer group. Suddenly, someone raises a point which is better than yours, irrespective of the fact that it is supporting your views or opposing it, and the people start paying heed to the other person. What will be the feeling in your mind? It will try to fish out as deep as it can to find out something, anything of value, not because you really wanted to think for it, but because it is now a question of your prestige to stay the sole attention, which was taken away from you. You will try to push into your opinion. Now, there can be two possibilities: First, you push in another point and people are again drawn towards you. Second, you tried to pitch in, but your argument held no response as it wasn’t that strong. In both ways, you are going to get some thought post the discussion. Your mind will not be on the points discussed, rather on the defeat that you feel you have been through. What will you do after that? You will ponder upon it for next innumerable time period, or whenever you will hear about that topic again, or see those faces again. And what will you do then? You will try the defensive technique of training your mind saying, “When next time this topic comes up, I will be the one who will respond this way, or will not respond that way”.
Why am I talking about all this? Because then you will learn how desperate you were to Startle everyone and for that you were ready to think, rethink, and keep thinking about it overtime, knowing it possibly well that the same situation will not arise again. What was this? This was just a proof of the theory that we all are intellectually lit and we all have a hidden quality to Startle everyone with a Start…
So, without much of a further philosophical note, all I would like to say is that it’s not when or where or how you start, it’s only about how well you know what you want to do and how desperate you can be to make your choice and voice it high…
