28th December saw another under hyped film hitting the theatres.

It was for the first time that Rohit Shetty (director of Simmba), Karan Johan (producer of Simmba), Ranveer Singh (male lead of Simmba) and Sara Ali Khan (female lead of Simmba) came together for a film.

And what a presentation! Simmba urf Sangram Bhalerao is the lead role of the movie Simmba, and darling Ranveer Singh has done complete justice to the role.

Besides Ranveer Singh, another important subject of discussion is Simba being a ‘Rohit Shetty Film’.

Simba Is Another Typical Rohit Shetty Film

Being a Rohit Shetty film, it was obviously supposed to be full of action, fun, flying cars and men. Not to forget, some energetic dance numbers were also a must.

And when Dharma Productions was also a part of the film, the film couldn't fail to entertain us.

Simmba movie has been roaring at the box office. It made 45 cores in two days and is expected to make heavy numbers on the silver screen.

And thus, will be one amongst the most successful films made by Rohit Shetty.

Simmba Movie Storyline

Simmba’s storyline in the first half seems to be very simple and humorous. It has great comic timing by Ranveer Singh (aka Simmba), and the supporting actors have helped him well.

Together, the cast and crew of Simmba have put together great work.

Jumping to the story of Simmba movie - Simmba or Sangram Bhalerao is an orphan kid, who gets inspired by Bajirao Singham, for the simple reason that they both belong to Shivgarh.

He was so much fascinated by Singham’s valor and popularity that he decided to become a police officer. He didn’t know what it takes to be a police officer.

All he wanted to do was to earn money by hook or crook. Simmba got transferred to a place called Miramar in Goa, and that's where his life takes a sharp turn.

He shakes hand with the don of Miramar, Durva Ranade. Simmba earns lots of money by protecting all illegal works of Ranade.

But, he is unaware of Ranade's drugs business and the danger that waits for him. The second half of Simmba movie is very emotional.

It is based on the brutal reality of India - molestation. Simmba calls a girl Akruti as his sister. She gets molested by Ranade's brothers and Simmba’s blood boils.

It's really interesting how all this happens, and how Simmba kills both the molesters of his so-called sister.

In the end, Singham joins the fight and Simmba finally learns a lesson. That’s how the story unfolds.

Simmba’s Cast And Their Work

Although Simmba movie has a pretty predictable storyline and is a one-time watch movie, Ranveer Singh has truly justified his character.

His acting seems to be very natural because our Mr. Singh is so fun loving. Ranveer Singh has effortlessly killed it on the silver screen.

But as this is a movie review, let is not forget Sara Ali Khan, who as Shagun has also done a great job. Who would say it was her second film? Sara Ali Khan in Simmba was the cutest thing in the whole film.

The way Shagun (Sara Ali Khan’s character) and Simmba (Ranveer Singh’s character) fell in love is quite funny. Though their love life wasn't hyped in the movie.

Sonu Sood as Durva Ranade definitely won every girl's heart, not with his bad character but with his body. But the gray shade he played was exactly what was needed in the film.

In short, all the characters were well chosen and made it a 'paisa wasool film' of 2018.

Flaws of Simmba Movie

It not only takes a good story and a good caste, but also many more things, to make a memorable movie in Bollywood.

I am nobody to list out the flaws, but there are several things that disappointed me as a viewer. I felt that Sara Ali Khan's role in the film was underrated.

She was shown only in the first half, and then she came back at the end of the film.

She was the lead actress of Simmba, and so she should have been allotted more screenplay.

Also, too much action takes away attention from the emotions.

If a bit more of emotions and sensitivity were given to each character, the remake of Simmba and even the sequel of Simmba would have been awaited by all of us.

Simmba’s Overall Message

Simmba film portrayed a very beautiful message. The film conveyed, how we all are responsible for rapes and how it can be stopped.

The dialogues, the scenes and the energy by which they are performed, leave a great impact on the viewers.

By way of entertainment, they have tried to bring out the demon residing in our society, and even us.

It just missed staying in minds of viewers, due to the short duration it was assigned in the movie.

This is my honest Simmba movie review, and I hope that after watching this movie, something changes in our country.

Ending on this note, I wish my darling Ranveer reads this article someday!

PS - Ranveer, you are a true charmer… Love you!
