Karan to exact revenge shoots Ravi the shrewd lawyer but his wife uses her body as a shield to protect her husband thus losing the battle of life whereas Karan again shoots at Ravi and he ends up paralyzed. The movie ends with Ravi having a change of heart and helping Karan to prove his father’s innocence in court.  8. Gumraah

Gumraah is an action-crime film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Yash Johar. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Sridevi, and Rahul Roy in the lead role. The film was released on 24 September 1993. The film had a budget of Rs.200 million and a box office collection of Rs.545 million making it a commercially successful film. It became the seventh highest grossing film in the year 1993. 

This Sanjay Dutt movie revolved around Roshni who’s an aspiring singer and how her life crumbles down. Roshni falls in love with Rahul who gives her a break in her singing career after listening to her sing. On her quest to find her father in Hong Kong Roshni is arrested on the charges of drug possession and is found guilty thus being sentenced to death. At this point, the main lead that is Jaggi enters. He’s a thief who’s in love with Roshni and he is the one who helps Roshni to fight her case. The movie ends with Roshni knowing she got arrested because of Rahul. She gets him arrested and with her father's blessing, she marries Jaggi.

9. Sadak

Sadak is a romantic-thriller movie directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The movie stars Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Deepak Tiljori, Avatar Gill, and Neelima Azeem in the lead role. The film got its release on 20 December 1991. The movie had a budget of 5.67 Crore and a box office collection of Rs.17.8 Crores making it a blockbuster movie. Sadak was one of the highest-grossing movies in the year 1991.

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed the love story of Ravi a taxi driver and Pooja a girl who works at a brothel employed by Maharani who’s an evil transgender pimp. Ravi attempts to rescue Pooja from her brothel life by using all his savings to hire her for a day. The movie ends with the death of Gotya, and Chanda who are friends with Ravi and Pooja respectively, and Ravi is successful in rescuing Pooja from the brothel by setting it on fire thus ending the tale of misery for numerous girls trapped in the life of prostitution. This Sanjay Dutt movie was quite good but its sequel proved to be a disappointment.

10. K.G.F- 2

K.G.F-2 is a period action drama directed by Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. The movie stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, and Archana Jois in the lead role. The movie got its release on 14 April 2022 and had a budget of Rs.100 Crores with a box office collection of Rs.1,233 crores making it a blockbuster. The movie was a sequel to the blockbuster K.G.F that was loved by the audience.

This Sanjay Dutt movie follows the further event of K.G.F where Anand suffers a stroke and his son follows through with the further narration of the story. Rocky after killing his apparent Virat takes over the Kolar Gold Fields, by keeping Reena hostage to ensure the cooperation of Guru Pandian. Sanjay Dutt played the role of Adheera, who was Suryavardhan’s brother and the main antagonist in the movie responsible for the death of Rocky’s wife. The movie ends with the discovery of the third installment of the movie K.G.F. as Rocky dies in the ocean after drowning in the gold that remains lost to date.

Naam is a crime-thriller movie directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Kumar Gaurav. The movie stars Nutan, Kumar Gaurav, Sanjay Dutt, Amrita Singh, Poonam Dhillon, and Paresh Rawal. The movie got its release on 12 September 1986. This movie was a turning point in Sanjay Dutt’s career thus getting him recognition and love from the audience. Dushman is a psychological thriller film directed by Tanuja Chandra and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Kajol, and Ashutosh Rana. The movie got its release on 29 May 1998. The budget of the movie was Rs.2.6 Crores, and a box office collection of Rs.9.10 crores made it an average movie. 

This Sanjay Dutt movie revolved around Naina’s revenge on her sister’s killer. The twin sisters Sonia and Naina, Suraj a blind army veteran along with Gokul the sadistic killer is also involved in the plot. The twins have different personalities, when a serial rapist and killer Gokul kills the extroverted Sonia thus leading Naina to woe revenge. To exact her revenge Naina takes help from Suraj in the process of training both falls in love with each other. The movie ends with Naina successfully exacting her revenge on Gokul and reconciling with Suraj.

 13. Agneepath

Agneepath is an action film directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar starring Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Om Puri in the lead role. The movie had a budget of Rs.58 Crore and a box office collection of Rs.193 Crore making it a hit among the audience.

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed Vijay Deenanath played by Hrithik Roshan a simple man from Mandwa a small village who seeks revenge against Kanchi Cheena played by Sanjay Dutt for murdering and humiliating his father. In Vijay’s process of revenge, he befriends Rauf Lala an underworld don, and falls for a bubbly carefree girl Kaali Gawde played by Priyanka Chopra. Dhamaal is a comedy film series with two sequels to it directed by Indra Kumar. The movie was produced by Ashok Thakeria starring Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chaudhary, and Jaaved Jaaferi in the lead role. The movie had a box office collection of Rs.50.73 Crores making it a hit among the audience.

This Sanjay Dutt movie follows four friends Roy, Adi, Manav, and Boman, and their adventure to achieve Rs.500 Crore after they get to know about its existence in Goa’s St. Sebastian’s Garden from a dying man. It follows the funny chase between inspector Kabir who is also after the same money hidden by Boss and the four friends struggle to reach the destination first and get the money. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Namrata Shirodkar, Mohsin Bahl, Shivaji Satam, and Reema Lagoo in the lead role. The movie stars Amitabh Bacchan, Sanjay Dutt, Kumar Gaurav, Suniel Shetty, Maliaka Arora, Rohit Roy, Isha Kappikar, and Rati Agnihotri in the lead role. The film got its release on 20 December 2002 with a budget of 300 million and a box office collection of 450 million making it an average movie.

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed the journey of six men who were wrongfully accused and charged thus ending up in jail and their plans to rob a bank together where police officers’ salaries get deposited. This Sanjay Dutt movie revolved around a young boy named Altaaf Khan whose whole family gets accidentally killed by the police and he’s adopted by police chief Inayat Khan. Once Altaaf finds out the reason behind his family’s death he decides to take revenge and becomes a terrorist. The movie deals with terrorism and the effects of war on younger children. Thanedaar is an action film directed by Raj N. Sippy and produced by Sanjay Ray. The film stars Jeetendra, Jayaprada, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit in the lead role. The movie was released on 1 December 1990 with a budget of Rs.3 crores and a box office collection of Rs.10.8 crores thus making it a super hit of its time.  

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed two brothers, Avinash and Birju, who get separated after their father Jagdish who is an inspector is killed by the crime lord Azghar. Birju is kidnapped by the hitmen who killed his father whereas Avinash is adopted by a police officer. Birju grew up to be notorious and heavily involved in the crime world whereas Avinash grows up to be stout-hearted and lives a happy life with his wife and child. The brothers come across each other on a train journey that leads to the presumed death of Avinash. The movie ends with the death of Azghar and the reunion of the whole family thus having a happy ending.

24. Rocky

Rocky is a romantic film that was the debut movie of Sanjay Dutt in Bollywood with his father Sunil Dutt directing it. The movie was produced by Amarjeet and stars Sanjay Dutt, Tina Munim, Reena Roy, and Shakti Kapoor in the lead role. The movie got its release on 6 May 1981.

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed the journey of Rakesh becoming Rocky. Shamlal is a worker in a factory who would like the employers to take better safety measures for the workers but is killed before he was able to propose it to a higher official. This leaves Rakesh traumatized and his mother isn’t able to come near him. Rakesh is later adopted by a Christian couple who renamed him Rocky who grows up to be carefree and lovely till he falls in love with Renuka. 

Falling in love led him to discover his true identity and the reality behind his father’s death thus vowing to take revenge for his father’s murder. The movie ends with the completion of revenge.

25. Sahibaan

Sahibaan is a romantic film directed by Ramesh Talwar and produced by D.K Chawala. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles. The music for the film was given by Shiv-Hari and got its release on16 July 1993. The script for the movie was written by Armaan Shahabi.

The story follows the love triangle between Sahibaan a poor village girl who’s in love with Gopi a poor laborer but Vijay a wealthy womanizer falls in love with her thus creating an overall situation of misery. Sahibaan lives with her parents and retarded cousin who falls in love with a kind-hearted laborer Gopi who lives near a Mandir and survives on whatever the villagers give him. In a parallel scene, it is shown Vijay a womanizer asks for Sahibaan’s hand from her parents after being infatuated with her. Gopi goes missing and Sahibaan believes him to be dead. The movie ends with Vijay changing his life around to prove worthy of Sahibaan’s love.

26. All The Best: Fun Begins

All The Best is a comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Ajay Devgun. The movie stars Ajay Devgun, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Mugdha Godse. The music for the film was given by Pritam and Sanjoy Chowdhury and got its release on 16 October 2009. The movie had a budget of 41 crores and a box office collection of Rs.61 Crores making it a semi-hit film. 

This Sanjay Dutt movie followed the comical situations that occur between four friends and the elder brother of one of them. Prem and Veer are two friends who register in an illegal race in hopes to make a quick buck. Prem’s a struggling artist whose only source of income is money sent by his wealthy older brother to whom he lies about being married to Vidya his lover. This ensures confusion when Dharm visits Veer and confuses Jhanvi Prem’s wife to be Veer’s wife. The movie ends with all the truth coming out and everyone happily reuniting with each other.

27. Double Dhamaal

Double Dhamaal is a comedy movie that is a sequel to the hit movie Dhamaal directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. The movie stars the same previous cast with the addition of Mallika Sherawat, and Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The movie got its release on 24 June 2011. They come across their rival Inspector Kabir who’s living a luxurious life and try to find the truth behind his success. They come to know about Kabir’s wife whose money he’s enjoying and blackmail him to become a partner with them. The movie further follows a series of comical events where each group tries to con the other and ends with the four friends trying to escape a well-known underworld don.

28. Kshatriya 

Kshatriya is a war-based film directed by J.P Dutta and produced by Sunder Das Solanki. The movie stars several well-known actors like Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Divya Bharti, and Meenakshi Sheshdari. 29. Dus

Dus is an action thriller film directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Nitin Manmohan. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, and Zayed Khan in the lead role. The movie got its release on 8 July 2005 with a budget of Rs.22 Crore and a box office collection of Rs.38.83 Crore thus, making it a semi-hit. The movie is narrated by Sanjay Dutt himself and was well-received by the audience.

This Sanjay Dutt movie revolved around a fictional anti-terrorist group that embarks on a journey to prevent a deadly terrorist attack within a short amount of time. The terrorist attack was to take place on the 10 of May thus the name of the movie.

30. Ilaka

Ilaaka is an action film directed by Aziz Sejwal and produced by Jyoti Guha. The movie stars Raakhee, Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Amrita Singh. The movie got its release on 12 May 1989. It was one of the highest-grossing films of the year 1989.

The Sanjay Dutt movie revolved around Raja a man who always fights against injustice and corruption and is in love with a girl named Vidya who is the village headmaster’s daughter. He with support from Inspector Suraj Verma fights against the ‘Father of evil’ Nagar as he’s in charge of the area. 

All the success he achieved after his struggles were well deserved. He achieved love and appreciation for his movie Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. from the audience and after that, there was no looking back for him. Bollywood made an autobiography named Sanju to show his life struggles and success.
