Words are ever evolving. Pop culture and fresh technology gave birth to many new words. But have you ever wondered what happens to the old words when they come in the hands of the youngsters?

The old words get new meanings. These meanings are in harmony with the feelings of the youth. Traditional definitions lose their essence when these modern definitions come into light. People laugh around discussing these witty meanings.

Confused? Well, we have assigned meanings to our words depending upon whatever we feel with respect to them. Like the word ‘uncle’ is commonly used term for ‘a person who is like dad but a bit cooler’. And the word ‘boss’ is ‘someone who comes early when you are late and comes late when you are early.’

Here we are listing few words from English language, which have acquired new definitions with the due course of time. But this doesn’t mean that the meanings are not related at all. They fit into the context more better than anything else does.

All these definitions are not only humorous but also meaningful. Have a look:

The updating of the dictionary now seems important. Or even better. We can have a whole new dictionary launched for these realistic definitions.

Each year, like the Oxford dictionary updates itself, we shall update our dictionary too. And we can bet that there will be more additions to our realistic dictionary than that will be made to the present-day Oxford dictionary in a year.

What’s do you say?
