Animals too have feelings

It would be wrong and totally unjustified to presume that animals don’t have emotions or instincts. If you have a pet dog or a pet cat, you would easily relate how quickly your pets understand your commands.

The pet dog cries when he is alone at home, the pet cat jumps when you play with her and the pet cow follows you to the fields, just because they have emotions that drive them. Their brain and neural structures are closely similar to ours.

Consider a mother bird whose nest gets damaged in a storm. She immediately picks her eggs and flies to a safer location. Isn’t this behavior similar to what your mother would do to prevent you from getting hurt or saving you from dangers? You must have got the hidden irony.

While we realize it now, science has also proven the fact with the example of pigs. The nasty pigs who always play in the ditches are very sensitive species. Whenever there is an attack on their group, they first discuss it among themselves and then decide whether or not they should take up the fight. Unbelievable?

Well, that’s too little. You must have noticed your pets when there is natural calamity due in the area or an accident takes place nearby going unnoticed. They will make all possible efforts to make you aware that something went wrong. And we humans, often fail to apprehend the security and love the pets portray.

Let us have a quick recap.

Humans feel. Animals feel. And they have feelings for each other. The affection between pets and humans definitely exists. It may be difficult to understand. And even more difficult to accept.

Whenever a human being brings a newly born animal home, the relationship starts. As the pet animal is reared up, it begins to adore human as their mother. And it is so true. The pet has been seeing his human companion just a few days after birth. The pet is completely dependent on human beings for its daily needs.

On the other hand, the human beings go in to loving their pets beyond measure. Every human being having a pet tries to inculcate desired qualities in their pets, just like a cautious mother. The relationship now becomes clear.

The affection gets reciprocated in larger proportions than humans can ever expect from a human. Therefore, pets are loyal companions and serve as a substitute for lack of human company. They fill the emptiness of busy human lives.

Animals too have feelings, emotions, and instincts.
