परछाई, मैं और सचाई

आज मिलों की दूरी मापने निकली थी

भोर के समय,

जब सूरज की हल्की हल्की किरणे

रात के घने अंधेरे को धीमे धीमे मिटाने लगती है,

बस वही दूरी मापने निकली थी आज

अंधकार से रोशनी तक की,

अपनी ही धुन में ख़ुद को मैंने

अपनी छाया का पीछा करते हुए पाया,

जब मैंने देखा तो पाया

मेरी परछाई तो दूर भाग रही है मेरी सचाई से

और उन बढ़ती दूरियों के बीच में मैंने ख़ुद को पाया

उस सफ़र में थे तो बस परछाई , मैं और सचाई

और बस यूँही चलते चलते

अंधेरे से रोशनी तक के सफ़र में मैंने ख़ुद को पा लिया ।

Inspiration:  I used to go to ride cycle every morning, so one day I was woke up a little early and decided to go out for the ride as soon as I was ready. So it was the time where the night was coming to end and the morning was about to begin. The moon rays started getting invisible and the fresh morning started getting visible. While riding in this transition period from night to light I saw my shadow and what did I found, my shadow was running away from me and I started wondering if it was running from my reality. Isn't it true our shadow runs away from the real us , isn't it true we fail to accept our true self and wear the mask of something that we aren't and start running from the self. And then suddenly one day we get caught between the mask self and the true self .... this is how I came up with the title परछाई, मैं और सचाई. 

We are often stuck between the reality and the masked reality. I urge you to reduce the distance between the realities and discover your true self. Because none can discover you, only you can.
