Making passive income from stock videos on Blackbox.
One of my passive income streams is stock videos. For several years I uploaded my videos individually to websites like Pond5, Shutterstock, Adobe stock and many more. The amount of time it took to upload my videos to each agency, keyword them and submit was a lot. In 2020 I came across Blackbox Global https://www.blackbox.global/ .
Blackbox
Blackbox is a website that you can upload your stock videos to. You upload you video 1 time and Blackbox will upload them to Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Pond5, VimeoStock & DepositPhotos. Blackbox will take a 15% cut of any earnings you make. For some people this doesn’t sound like a a good deal. For others it is. I find uploading just 1 time to be much more convenient. Also because Blackbox has a good reputation with these stock sites, it is believed that they likely get some boost to ranking of videos. Also Blackbox allows you to collaborate with other users and share profits. Maybe you like filming but you dont like to color grade or edit videos. You can commission someone else to do the work you dont like to do for a set percentage of earnings.

Automatic 15% lower earnings
Videos are posted under the BlackboxGuild username, so there is almost no chance of customer loyalty to your portfolio.
Can’t upload videos to Blackbox and any of the agencies they upload to. No double posting of videos is allowed.
My final thoughts
I have twice as many videos uploaded to each agency but make more on the ones I have uploaded to Blackbox. I believe this is partly because they have higher ranking on these sites. What takes me 30 minutes to upload and submit on Blackbox would take me 2 hours if I did it individually. Having Blackbox save me several hours of the boring tedious parts of submitting stock videos is worth the 15% less I make on a sale.
My earnings are posted below. I don’t earn a huge amount, but I also only submit videos as a side hustle and I have no background or education is film making, marketing or anything else related to stock. I am self taught and only spent part time working on videos.
