I will not call myself a bookworm , but I love reading. I love entering a different world, getting attached to people who I seem to only find in books and finally thinking and reanalyzing about all that happened there .

I honestly find joy in reading and watching fiction . And most of the times I get this feeling that fiction has more power than reality . I mean , all the thoughts and ideas we get are from preexisting visions or sounds right ? At least that's what I believe , And so I also believe that what we call " fiction " is to some extent real . Hear me out , can't there be magicians and vampires somewhere out in this huge world of ours? If they are not , then from where did the idea of them come ?

My father has always asked to read some non-fiction along with whatever I am reading , and I have tried doing that , but I just can't stand the commanding voice of the authors who askes the readers to do this and that to achieve " success". Maybe I am wrong , maybe non-fiction gives you more knowledge about certain things , but doesn't fiction always give you the freedom to think and interpret things on your own ?

When I read about Hassan and Amir or about Frankie Presto my heart aches , it makes me believe in the goodness of humanity , and I don't think a book on how to be productive can ever do that to me. If you think , non-fiction can give you real life lessons from real people and their struggles , I have my Morrie and Eddie who could give me the same knowledge on how to live , and to me these people are pretty real .

Of course you are free to choose whatever you like to read , but remember "Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth ."
