2. Mumbai

3. Lucknow
Consisting of 21 stations, Lucknow Metro railway records a daily footprint of 11,000 passengers approximately. All stations are decorated with different artworks and heritage sites of Lucknow. The trains travel at a maximum speed of 90 km/hr.
4. Kolkata
The first metro city of India, Kolkata marks its presence of development even today. Recently, a metro tunnel has been constructed underwater too. There are 24 stations and each train travels with a maximum speed of 55km/hr.

5. Chennai

8. Nagpur

9. Bangalore
Also known as Namma metro meaning ‘Our Metro’ in Kannada, Bangalore mero consists of 40 stations spread over 42.3 km. Over 4 lakh people travel daily via metro. This IT capital metro system offers smart card at a discount of 15% on the normal token fares.

10. Kochi

This is the most sought second metro system of India, Delhi metro being the first, although not governed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Even Delhi metro cards or tokens are not accepted here.
Through 21 stations, Noida metro serves Noida and the Greater Noida of Delhi-NCR. The interchange stations are only a 300 m walk away.
12. Gurgaon
Governed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the Gurgaon metro is the second rapid system serving Gurgaon. Initially, it was constructed by the Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS), but due to lack of finances, Delhi Metro Rail overtook it.

The rapid transit system of Gujarat, Ahmedabad metro connects Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Phase 1 has been approved and is expected to be completed within 2023.
