The 1x1 rubik cube is one of the hardest puzzles to solve. It was invented by an architect professor who had a difficult time training his students to visualize 3-D structures.

There are many different ways to solve the 1x1 rubik cube. If you have never solved it before, here are some tips and tricks to help you get started.

How to solve

The 1x1 Rubik cube is the world's most difficult puzzle to solve. It is currently unsolved and only the top professionals are able to figure out how to solve it.

The puzzle is constructed of six centre pieces and twelve edge pieces that show different coloured faces. Each piece has a screw (fastener) that is held by the centre piece, and a spring between the head of the screw and the corresponding edge piece tensions inward to keep the cube compact.

There is no specific order for the coloured edges, but they are arranged anticlockwise around a central square. The yellow face is opposite the green, the blue face is opposite the red, and the orange face is opposite the white face.

A solution commonly used by speedcubers is CFOP (cross, F2L, OLL, PLL). The cross is done first, followed by orienting and permuting the first two layers, then the last layer. This method requires learning roughly 120 algorithms but enables the Cube to be solved in just 55 moves on average.
