Are you looking for a macOS Yosemite ISO to use with Virtualbox and VMWare? If so, you have come to the right place! In this blog post, we will explain how to easily download a macOS Yosemite ISO that can be used with both Virtualbox and VMWare. With this ISO, you will be able to set up a virtual machine that runs on macOS Yosemite, giving you access to all the great features of the operating system. Keep reading to find out how to get started.

Go to the Mac App Store

The first step in downloading a macOS Yosemite ISO is to go to the Mac App Store. This is where you'll find all the necessary tools and software needed to create the ISO. Once there, search for “Yosemite” in the search box. The results should include both the OS X Yosemite and OS X Yosemite Upgrade packages.

Once you select the OS X Yosemite package, click the “Download” button to begin downloading the installer. Depending on your internet connection, this may take a few minutes or longer. When the download is complete, a folder will appear on your desktop with the name “Install OS X Yosemite.” This folder contains the necessary components to create your macOS Yosemite ISO.

Download Yosemite

If you want to download macOS Yosemite DMG for use in VirtualBox or VMWare, the first step is to get the ISO from the Mac App Store. To do this, open the Mac App Store on your Mac and search for “Yosemite.” Once you find it, select the “Download” option. The installation files will begin downloading immediately. Once they have finished downloading, you will have a .dmg file that contains the installation files for Yosemite.

The next step is to convert the .dmg file into an ISO file. To do this, you can use a free utility like DMG2IMG. Simply drag the Yosemite .dmg file onto the DMG2IMG icon and the program will automatically convert it into an ISO file. Once it is complete, you will have a Yosemite ISO ready to use with VirtualBox or VMWare.

Once you have downloaded and converted the Yosemite ISO file, you can then use it with either VirtualBox or VMWare. With both programs, you will need to create a new virtual machine and then select the Yosemite ISO as the installation media for the virtual machine. You will then be able to install and run macOS Yosemite on your PC.

Convert the downloaded file into an ISO

If you’ve downloaded Yosemite from the Mac App Store, you’ll need to convert it into an ISO file in order to use it with VirtualBox or VMWare. This is a straightforward process, but you’ll need the right tools.

To begin, you’ll need a program like Disk Utility or PowerISO to do the conversion. With Disk Utility, launch the program and select “Image from Folder” on the main menu. Then, locate and select the Yosemite app package you downloaded from the Mac App Store. This will create an ISO file of your Yosemite download.

For PowerISO, the process is similar. Launch the program and select “Create Image File From” on the main menu. Select the Yosemite app package you downloaded from the Mac App Store and create your ISO file.

Once you have your ISO file, you can use it in VirtualBox or VMWare. With VirtualBox, select “New” and then choose your ISO image. With VMWare, launch “New Virtual Machine” and then select your ISO file when prompted.

And that’s it! You can now use your ISO file with either VirtualBox or VMWare.
