December 27 marks the birthday of the leading star of Bollywood, Salman Khan. And this year as he turns 52 years old, he leaves us in amazement as he doesn't look to be of such an age. From Prem to Sultan to Bajrangi to Tiger, he has never failed to entertain us.
Here are a few glimpses from Salman Khan's life that are worthy to be noted on his birthday.
1. His first acting venture was as a supporting actor in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi.
Salman Khan made his debut in 1989 with a supporting role in the family drama . After this, he got a break into Bollywood. His first film in a lead role as we all know was Maine Pyar Kiya with beautiful Bhagyashree opposite to him. He was even awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for Maine Pyar Kiya.
2. Since the past 10 years, none of his films have been a flop at box office.
The swag of Salman Khan is simply unmatched. He is not just a superstar, but also a versatile actor. Salaam-e-Ishq, Veer, Wanted, Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Main Tera Hero, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tubelight, and Tiger Zinda Hai, are on our finger-tips. 3. His annual income is the highest in the entertainment industry but doesn't waste it.
Bollywood's Bhaijaan is known for doing a lot of charity and for helping in heart surgeries through the Being Human foundation. It is estimated that Salman Khan spends on 10% of his annual income on himself and his living. In fact, he lives in one BHK apartment, which nowadays doesn't meet the need of anyone.
4. Bhaijaan has exceptional painting skills, which we recently saw in Dil Diyan Gallan.
Well, Katrina's painting was just one example. Bhai even painted the walls of houses in Hatluni village in Karjat while shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Soon the entire team joined him in his painting initiative. He has painted many portraits, which many people dream to buy.
5. He is a mentor to many young actors in Bollywood industry.
Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu Sood, Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid-Wajid, Govinda, Mohnish Bahl, Vaibhav Anand (son of late Vijay Anand), Rinzing (Son of Danny Denzongpa), and Ali (son of Raza Murad), were backed by Salman Khan to enter films. He even supported Sanjay Leela Bhansali to make Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
6. This year (2017) on Salman Khan’s birthday, he gets a big gift.
The big gift is nothing but an announcement by Bhushan Kumar and Atul Agnihotri, who have joined hands to produce their new film Bharat, with Salman Khan in the lead role. It will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is scheduled to release on Eid 2019.
7. He didn't have a big birthday party last year(2017) either.
Salman Khan celebrated his 52nd birthday in Panvel, late last night. The small get together was attended by Katrina Kaif and other crew members, without any pomp and show.
