If ever there was a pop star with a solid streak of dance in her veins, it’s Elena Jane Goulding. Born 30 December 1986 an English singer-songwriter has always been comfortable in bringing something fabulous to house and disco hits. At age of 9, Goulding began playing the clarinet and at age of 14 began learning guitar.
Her career started when she met producers Starsmith and Frankmusik. After signing Polydor Records in July 2009, Goulding released her debut extended play, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding later in that year.
In 2010, she became the second artist to top the BBC's annual Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award. She also released her debut album, Lights in 2010; it became No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart which sold over 850,000 copies in the UK. Goulding's 2nd album, Halcyon, was released in October 2012.
After 65 weeks of its launch, the album ranked No.1 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 9 on the US Billboard 200. Her 3rd album named Delirium was released on 6 November 2015 "On My Mind".
She received her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance for her single "Love Me Like You Do" in December 15. Her 4th studio album Brightest Blue was released on 17 July 2020.
