Reading not only provides you with innumerable information but also exposes you to different vocabulary. Leaders are readers. The best way to improve your grammar and your vocabulary to be fluent in English are by reading. 

Read, Read, Read, this is the only way you will be able to learn and even master any language. Learning a language is not easy unless you dive deep into it and read as many books as you can. 

Read at least 20 minutes daily and make it a habit. I assure you will gain a lot from it. 

So, here I am providing you with a list of 15 different novels which are quite interesting to read and will help to improve your English. These English books are:-

1) The Old Man And The Sea by Ernest Hemingway

This great English book is written in a very simple and interesting way so it is an awesome novel for beginners. A beautiful tale of a courageous fisherman and the greatest accomplishment of his entire life.

2) Lord of the flies by William Golding

 An amazing sarcastic narrative by one of the greatest authors William Golding. The description of some isolated young boys will just blow your mind and you will find it a quite interesting English book to read. 

But always keep in mind to mark the new words and learn their meaning and uses in a sentence. This way you will learn and can even master the language.

3) The Alchemist

The bestselling novel by Paulo Coelho. The narrative style of this novel is so polished and formal that I am sure you will get to learn many new things from this. Even the plot is captivating as it continuously gives the message to follow our dreams.

4) The Perfect Us

This particular novel by Durjoy Dutta is my all-time favorite. The imagery used in his narrative is just way awesome. I particularly like this English book because of its narrative style. The descriptive words he uses can improve your vocabulary to a great extent. Do read this amazing love story to improve your English.

5) Ignited Minds by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Reading the books of Kalam sir has always been my inspiration. His books not only inspire his readers but also refine our vocabulary and ultimately improve our communication skills.

6) Malgudi Days by R.K.Narayan

This novel comprises thirty-two short stories and an enchanting description of post-independence India. I recommend each one of you to read this English book as the language in it is simple and sometimes witty. I am sure you will love it.

7) White Tiger by Arvind Ardiga

To improve your English, you must read as many English books as possible. You will surely get to learn many things from each book. The white tiger is also an engrossing book and the narration is quite simple and is in the first person.

8) Your Dreams Are Mine Now by Ravinder Singh

Seriously, I started sobbing while reading this English book. The narration of this novel is so descriptive that you will helplessly be falling in love with this book.

9) The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This novel revolves around the problems faced by today’s generation. The language used is simple and is easy to read and grasp its meaning.

10) Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

This is an English book read by children but it is so interesting that it is loved by adults all across the world. A must-read book that is very simple in vocabulary and is easy to understand. 

Reading will be fun for you when you will get to learn new words, phrases and not only that it will change your perspective to view each and everything around you.

11) A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

This is one of the most famous works of Dickens and is appraised by many authors for his work and therefore, it becomes a must-read novel. This particular work is known for its rich vocabulary and its perspective to look at our society.

13) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

One of the best-selling books. I am sure many of you will have heard the name of this English book. I highly recommend you all to read such a great and famous novel as it will teach you innumerable words and phrases and will also teach you about various cultures, norms, beliefs, and whatnot.

14) The Giver by Lois Lowry

An English book based on simple language and is very beneficial for English learners. Make it a habit to mark all the new words and go through their meanings and their uses. This way you will be able to learn new words 10x faster.

15) Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl

A novel replete with humorous dialogues will enable the readers to enjoy while mastering the language.
