When we think of Disney, the first thing that comes to our mind are the gorgeous Princesses. The beauty of their soul and skin, the innocence of their minds and yet the tact to deal with the world. They are superwomen! Contrary to popular belief, Disney Princesses are not only damsels in distress. Sure, they need some help but they are the representation of any modern woman today. They are independent enough and not afraid to accept their flaws and ask for help. They want to do good by the  people and are not afraid to stand up for themselves

So, here are 15 Disney Princesses who are much more than the Prince they are with!

This is probably the most famous Disney Princess ever. Every girl dreams of being Cinderella. It is not just to find her Prince Charming but to be the woman Cinderella is. She is a strong, independent woman who doesn’t give up on life even after her fate is turned upside down. She faces the hardships of life like a strong woman. No work is beneath her. Just because she is a Princess, she doesn’t hesitate to do menial work. She tries to make the best of what she has and like everyone who gives in their best, she gets rewarded for it too!

2. Elsa (Frozen)

Things do not go as planned and her adventures take an ugly turn but that doesn’t stop her. It shows us that taking risks is important and while they will have consequences, they teach you about life and living life.

5. Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

You cannot be a flawlessly beautiful Disney Princess if you can’t accept the flaws of others. Belle shows us that. She finds her true love in a Prince cursed as a Beast for his past selfishness. She chooses to believe in him, accept his flaws and give him a second chance. You are not perfect until you accept your imperfections.

Merely a teenager, she embarks on a series of adventures which help her finally know her true self. The character of Moana definitely teaches us to explore in life and be true to ourselves by forming our own ideas and opinions.

The main takeaway from this article is that the renowned Disney Princesses are women with strong characters and virtues. They fight for their Kingdom, their loved ones and most importantly themselves. They are not afraid to be who they are and that’s what sets them apart.

Even though their tales might be ‘once upon a time’, the Disney Princesses represent the powerful women of today. They are Princesses whose values are far more superior than their status. Their true magic lies in their heart and not in their blood.
